We encourage FUN at our house- We just ask that you please take great care of our home!
Sinead and the home were wonderful. We had such and fun and relaxing time. The hot tub was huge. The seating was plenty. The beds were comfortable. It was a great set-up for spending time with family. Would love to stay here again some day. It was hard to leave.
We had such a wonderful weekend here! The house was amazing - LOVED the discoball :). We fit 7 people very comfortably. Sinead was a great host and was so flexible with our stay. We will definitely look to stay here again!
The host was very responsive and helpful during the booking process and before our stay. The house was perfect for our group, comfortable for 6 people, well appointed kitchen and entertainment (hot tub, stereo, tv, fireplace, Bono portrait). Would definitely consider this spot again for future trips!
We loved the house and Sinead was a great host!
Let me just say first that we've used Air BnB all over the world and the places seem to divide into two categories:
1.) Investment properties, run by managers (not owners). Very little personality and even fewer hospitable touches (oh, the stories I could tell...)
2.) Places like this one that are full of cool details (disco ball! Mr T memorabilia!) and generous hospitality (like a fridge full of any condiment you'd need, plenty of towels, etc.) and which seem designed around someone actually living there and providing the warm feeling of a home for guests.
Sinead was very responsive and accommodating, everything was in working order and ready for us, the house rules were clearly communicated and reasonable, and we had no trouble with anything during our stay.
The house itself is on the main road across from the lake, about 20 minutes from Northstar and close to Safeway, and is divided into two bedrooms (and a living room/study area) upstairs and two down, which worked great for our two families. (The downstairs bedrooms are just off the main space, so light sleepers should take the upstairs if you have early risers in your group!)
Sinead thoughtfully stocked the house with plenty of everything - paper towels, tp, towels, kitchenware and essentials like spices, olive oil, mayo, etc. This is kind of a big deal for rentals in Tahoe, where we've encountered places that provide a bare fridge and almost no basics of any kind. It was such a gift to find what we needed on-hand. We spent a couple days with our small children just hanging about and coming in and out - having a fun place to come back to was so nice. Thanks for a great long weekend!
The Cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway! The house was fully equipped with everything you might need, and then some. The hot tub was a nice bonus, though its location within street view was a little disconcerting (at first). Sinead was great with communications beforehand and after. We would absolutely book this place again next time we go to Tahoe.
This house is perfect. My friends and I (8 total) spent the weekend in this house. It has a great location right by the lake and it is easy to get in and out.
Most importantly, the house provides a perfect communal space. We spent most of our time chilling around the house, spending time together. Both upstairs and downstairs provide space for people to hang-out together without being cramped. The kitchen is large and made it easy for us to prepare food together. And the hot tub is a nice touch.
Sinead was super accommodating with us and easy to get in touch with for questions.
It is a really hard place to leave and we look forward to coming back.
