"Mont St Michel, France
There can't be many Unesco world heritage sites on the continent that give as much eureka for their euro as Mont St Michel – or that charge such rip-off prices for accommodation. But stay at the nearby Au Bon Accueil B&B-cum-hostel and they'll shuttle you there for free.
• (phone number hidden), (website hidden), doubles from €50 B&B. "
The bed room as reserved, the guest breakfast room, with fridge and microwave, and the garden for the warmer months.

I love living in this beautiful, unspoiled area. We are in a country village but we are not isolated. Everything is on our doorstep - world class tourist attractions, fab beaches, fantastic seafood, history, pirates....
If you do not have the benefit of a car, we can help with a ride from the station at Pontorson and to and from Mont St Michel itself. Please inquire for details.
Other Things to Note
You can eat really well in this area - we have restaurant choices to suit all budgets. The seafood is amazing - the mussels and oysters from the Bay of Mont St Michel are the best in France. The best traditional Breton creperie is only 1km away and if you want good, inexpensive pub food - and witty repartee - look no further than The Oystercatcher Bar - a 5 minute walk away.

On reviendra!
Our stay at Au Bon Accueil was the highlight of our trip to the Normandy region in France. As soon as we arrived, Jane greeted us and gave provided all the practical information we needed for our trip, from where to eat dinner (amazing little place up the street set in a historic telegraph building) to the best way to get to Mont st Michel, and where to stop for lunch afterwards. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast really good! Jane and her husband run the B&B like a well-oiled machine, everything is efficient and organized, yet comfortable and personalized. We will definitely be staying here again if we make another trip out to Normandy!
Tres jolie maison..chambre agréable propre et bien décorée. Une jolie salla a manger et un petit dejeuner sympathique compris :)
Jane est vraiment très gentille et accueillante. Je recommande.
We were warmly welcomed by Jane with a much needed cup of Yorkshire tea. Our room was just right, with a comfy, well dressed bed and a mattress I wanted to take home. Bathroom was squeaky clean and well thought out. All fittings high end and shower especially good. Heating, hot water were not rationed.
There was a standard continental breakfast.
We were given so much good information about places to explore, this woman's worth her weight in gold. Fabulous stay. Thank you.

After spending 25 years holidaying in Europe together, we fell in love with France and decided that our future lay here. We relocated to France and went into a business that allows us to meet people, which is something we have always enjoyed doing. We love french culture, french food and being a stone's throw from the coast and beaches.
I love helping my guests make the most out of their stay in this lovely area.
When you stay at Au Bon Accueil we hope that you will feel like you are staying in a family home as part of a family. We're very relaxed and informal and everyone is treated as a friend.
Au Bon Accueil has welcomed guests for over 200 years!
