The Space

This is a private room with a two shared bathrooms in a shared apartment hosted by Andres.

The room is seven point four square metres (7,4 square meters), it has a full size bed (135 x 190 cm), a bedside table with a lamp, and a desk.

The apartment is very well located, central but far enough to avoid downtown's noisy environment. It has plentiful transport day and night.

The apartment itself is fairly large (eighty eight square metres, 88m2). The building is located in a safe condominium and the surrounding area is very safe as well.

The building is two (2) blocks from the supermarkets, and several pharmacy’s. It is a 5 minute walk from the trendy "Plaza Ñuñoa" a bustling night life center with lovely restaurants, and coffee shops and well known rock bar called "la Batuta" that is THE PLACE to rock, almost every night it has a rock or cover band playing live. It is also a few blocks (10 minute walk) from Universidad Catolica's Campus Oriente, and in the other direccion Universidad de Chile's Campus Juan Gomez Milla.

The rent includes full house privileges: Internet connection via WI FI, kitchen use to cook your meals, TV and DVD access, a washing machine use and basic expenses (water, electricity and gas) plus a cleaning lady service every week.

  • "Camila and Andres were just perfect. Kind, hilarious, worldly, each
brilliant in different ways. It was as if I walked into a readymade circle
of friends complete with everything from nights on the town to quiet
dinners at home. (Andres is quite the chef, should you be so lucky as to
find yourself at home around dinner time!) The neighborhood, Ñuñoa, is also
generally wonderful. There is a lovely plaza and park surrounded by
restaurants, bars, cafes and such. Also there is an intimate and charming
little public library right around the corner named for the poetess
Gabriela Mistral! A good review suffers from the important but pedantic
details: good wifi, safe neighborhood, near to public transportation, etc.,
but also so much more—too much to tell, really: Live music. Games. A giant
bag of zucchini fresh from the countryside. Laughing until it hurt. And
none of this is hyperbole; indeed I lack the words that might convince
every traveler to consider seeing Santiago through these wonderful
    characters’ eyes!"

Hope that's all clear? Do tell me what else I can do to help!!

    Many thanks,

    Kindly,

    -eth.

  • Andres, the host, and Camila, the property manager, was very nice and helpful. They are both hard-working people with a good heart.
Andres showed me around the neighborhood; told me what's good where... Restaurants, supermarkets, bus station etc. Since Andres works freelance, I was lucky that I got to spend time with him, his friends and kids. Andres is extremely kind, positive, friendly and generous. He cooks and shares with you. (He even took me to Valparaiso with his car and guided me around for a very reasonable price. It was a lovely day!).
Neighborhood is quite and nice. With a bus, which is available one block away, you can get to the city center in about 20-25 min (-avoid rush hours). There is also a subway station near-by.
The room has a full bed, nightstand, a desk and some shelves and hangers - no closet, which was fine for me. (But I am sure if you need a closet space, Andres would arrange it for you. - There is a 2-door spacious closet right in front of your room. He was even bringing me cardigans when I felt chilly. :))
There was a little issue with the check-in because the airbnb confirmation email did not included the apt number, which was a airbnb technical problem, and my mistake not to confirm the full address. So, make sure to ask for full address confirmation to Camila via email once you book the place. She is responsive to messages, emails, within minutes.

  • I had a great time during my super short stay in Santiago facilitated greatly by Camila and Andres. Camila was really helpful in assisting me with getting my reservation sorted, helping me navigate around town and advising me on how I could maximise my time whilst in Santiago. Andres was a super nice and welcoming host. His apartment has access to downtown using public transport and offers its own parks and cafes, etc nearby.

  • Ah, nostalgia. I went back to stay at the place I lived when I first came to Chile. While I was here this time, I got to know the apartment owner. He's very friendly and accommodating, and he speaks both Spanish and English.

There's not much more I can say about this place that I haven't already said in my other review; this is one of my favorite Santiago listings on Airbnb!

    ---

  • My stay was great! Andrés--Camila's friend who lives in the apartment--is very warm and helpful; he knows a lot about Santiago and had great recommendations for cultural events and places to shop and eat. The apartment itself is very clean, spacious, and bright, as is the room (which has a nice little workspace). The apartment is extremely well-located and close to lots of transit options; Ñuñoa is a wonderful neighborhood with lots of fruit/vegetable markets, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and bars./Me gustó mucho de mi tiempo en Ñuñoa.

  • Spacious apartment, great location – convenient to public transport and grocery shopping. Very safe area; I felt comfortable walking back to my apartment from Providencia at early hours of the morning and still saw couples and children walking around and waiting at bus stops.

By far, the best part of this trip was Camila herself. Camila is super friendly, attentive and creative. She was quick to resolve any issues that I had at the apartment, and she was instrumental in getting me oriented with the local area, public transportation and attractions.

Camila also works as an executive assistant and can help with residency, banking, health insurance, interpretation and tour guide services should you need it!

    ---

About
My name is Camila, I'm 30 years old and I have a B.A in Biotechnology from Universidad de Chile. As work I freelance and am currently doing my thesis, I usually work a lot, partially from home. In my spare time I enjoy watching series or a movie, going out to eat, watch a band or go dancing. I enjoy having people floating around my apartment since it feels like it becomes more alive. I love sharing with people from different cultures. To have conversations over home prepared diverse meals. I have several listings, some of them are located at my apartment and the others at my friends apartments: Andres, Nancy, and Mireya, whom I know very well and trust and also know that are wonderful hosts themselves. I hope all my guests feel very welcome but with the freedom and independence to do what they may.
