boutiques and restaurants. Fifteen minutes walk to Jardins and to Shopping Iguatemi.(Faria Lima) US$ 2.800 dollars per month including Internet, cable TV, electricity and gas. Even though the apartment has two bedrooms, I don't accept more than 2 people in the house. A 3RD person can stay for free but only the length of the stay doesn't surpass 03 days.
If you instead want to rent a room while I'm here, please contact me about it.
Thank you!! ;-)
PS.even though my apt is ventilated since it is on the top floor and has ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living-room, IT DOES NOT HAVE AC because the building policy does not permit it. If you suffer too much with the Summer heat, ( here in Brazil from around November until February ) it's best that look for another place.
WI-FI, Cable TV, one indoor garage space, water heater, 24 on 7 doorman service, buzzard, washing machine. Great restaurants on my street as well as a pharmacy around the corner and a supermarket about I/3 mile away with free delivery service.
My area is residential & calm even though is very well located and in a very good neighborhood. There are many restaurants in my street as well as many spread at walking distance. I'm close to Jardins and to Faria Lima which has two large malls. There is a pharmacy around the corner, a 24 on 7 convenience store two blocks away and a supermarket 1/3 mile away which delivers free of cost.
Waking distance to Faria Lima & Jardins, two blocks from Avenida Rebouças which has buses to mostly everywhere including two stops by bus to commute to the closest subway station.
No pets or kids under 14 years old allowed (sorry!).
Prospects need to be neat and tidy.
This is not a home for rental but my own home with all my personal things so treat it with care and PLEASE DO NOT BRING STRANGERS, only people you know well.
Nina is very helpful and the photos are accurate. It is a very nice place with some charm; would be nicer if it had a terrace :)
A wonderful experience and a great host.
The highest possible score.
I recommend to all.

I had a great stay at Nina's apartment. She has a beautiful 2 bed and 2 bath apartment that is very quiet and has a great view - it is on the top floor. Great furnishings as well. She is very hospitable and made the stay a real pleasure for me as well. I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending to anyone.
Things to be aware of before you decide to rent this place:
1.“Spacious” is a relative term. The apartment was much too small for two adults and a child. The bedrooms have little room around the beds. Beds are full size, not queen size, making them a tight fit for two people. Bathrooms are tiny and lack tubs.
(website hidden) AC. Brazil is having its hottest summer on record. 90+ degrees nearly every day. The apartment has no AC, only fans.
3.The owner claims that the living room sofa can be used as a bed. What we found was a ratty stained futon with a frame that could not be opened to lie flat. The futon was so hard that is was really uncomfortable.
4.The kitchen lacks basic cooking tools: We had to buy a coffee pot, butcher knives, a vegetable peeler, garlic press and Tupperware. Pots and pans are scratched Teflon coated aluminum (carcinogenic!) with loose handles.
5.Hot water is very limited. The house manual says two people can’t shower at once. Even one person showering will lose hot water after 60 seconds.
6.The washing machine doesn’t clean your clothes. Our whites got stained.
7.Neighborhood: There is not a lot of street activity, unlike other trendier neighborhoods like Villa Magdalena. The area near the apartment is full of bridal shops and high-end furniture stores. No small grocers nearby. It’s a half-mile hike to a very expensive supermarket.
8.Public transportation: Avenida Rebouças, which is nearby, has many buses. The subway is quite far away.
9.Cancellation policy: Be sure you are committed before you start the reservation process. The owner is a real stickler about cancellations and will keep one month’s rent. I tried to cancel four months before my move-in date and all I got was a tirade about rules, even though Brazil is crawling with tourists this year looking for housing.
10.The owner: less than gracious, shall we say. It’s her way or the highway. We got nasty emails about our cancellation request that made us very uncomfortable about staying at her place. Once we were in the apartment, when I contacted her to tell her about a power outage in the building, her response was “I’m not the Mayor!” When I called asked the building superintendent to help us out because the hot water did not appear to work, I got snapped at. She also got angry when I asked her to schedule a visit to the apartment at a time when I was home to receive her (although 24 hour notice to tenants is pretty standard for landlord protocol). Quite frankly we are glad to be out of there!
-AC, BATH TUBE and SOFA BED- those items were NEVER among my amenities and therefore can't be claimed. (my two beds ARE QUEEN SIZE by Brazilian standards)
-WASHING MACHINE- it's the best Brazilian brand, BRASTEMP, and it does not stain anything. People who wash whites and colors together are the ones that stain the clothes!
-KITCHEN APPLIANCES - indeed I have only the basics and my kitchen is definitely not fir for a Chef! (I did get the coffee pot though!)
-SIZE OF THE APT - 90 sq. meters or 900 sq. feet, full of light and a marvelous view!! (and probably 3 times the size of her place in Brooklyn,NY)
-NEIGHBORHOOD- true, an expensive area, among the best: residential, full of green and yet a15 minutes walk to FARIA LIMA, JARDINS and VILA MADALENA. My street has 5 top restaurants, a pharmacy around the corner and two supermarkets around at 1/3 of a mile distance and both deliver free of charge. Indeed aside the restaurants and a few boutiques, there's not much "street activity" which makes my place quiet and peaceful, night & day, a rare thing is a huge metropolis like SP.
-I have PLENTY OF HOT WATER (new gas boiler); as far as the hot water valve doesn't get turned-off which is exactly what the guest did, there is no further problem.
-CANCELATION POLICY- yes, I'm strict and it says so on my listing. The guest knew about it when she booked so does NOT have the right to question it or attack me regarding that.
-about me: please read ALL OTHER reviews on me, be it as a GUEST or as a HOS,T and draw your own conclusions!!
Nina is a gracious and accommodating host. She made us feel comfortable in her apartment and gave us a wealth of information about the surrounding areas and São Paulo itself. The apartment is just incredible. It is tastefully decorated, spacious and has a privileged location. Its right next to some of the trendiest restaurants in the city, also being a short walking distance from the rua dos pinheiros where you can find even more restaurants and shops that sell and provide any service that you would require. I just loved my stay at Nina's and would think that its just the perfect place for anyone on a business trip or looking to do some tourism in this great city.
Nina's apartment is perfect for visiting SP for work or fun. It is centrally located, near many great restaurants and walking distance to a few key points of the city. My wife and I spent one month there having plenty of space to make ourselves at home. Nina is a great host and the building staff is wonderful (and very patient with our limited Portuguese language skills).
We stayed here for a week on business. The location was excellent for ferrying between meetings on Paulista and in Faria Lima, and the apartment was a pleasure.
Best of all, Nina went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of!
