Beautiful and private one-bedroom apartment located on a leafy, quiet street. You’ll be staying in a safe and friendly neighbourhood with a huge variety of ethnic restaurants, amazing parks, and independent grocers and bakeries. Walk to Dufferin subway (5 min) and the award-winning Dufferin Grove Park (30 seconds) -- the park has skating rinks, a fabulous playground, a weekly organic market, and a wood-burning pizza oven. The house is also within walking distance of the restaurants, galleries and cafes of several of Toronto’s most interesting neighbourhoods (Ossington strip, Parkdale, Queen West, Annex, Little Italy). Walkability gives our location a perfect score of 100, calling it a “walker’s paradise”. It is truly an ideal place to stay for anyone visiting Toronto. The apartment is on the main floor and basement of a lovely 100-year old house, and has a fireplace, a large, private backyard, and hardwood floors throughout. The open concept main floor has a living room (fireplace, pull-out couch with queen-sized mattress, and flat-screen TV with Apple TV, Netflix, sports channels, etc), dining room (table seats 6 and also makes an excellent desk/work area), and a large kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook for yourself or for several guests.
The large bedroom has hardwood floors and a very comfortable queen-sized bed. The bathroom was recently renovated and has a tub and shower. Bedroom and bathroom linens are 100% cotton. Full disclosure: basement ceiling height is about 6 feet, 4 inches with the exception of two areas that are 5,7 (a heating duct that runs above the bed, and a beam located at the bottom of the stairs).
There is a huge deck off of the kitchen, and the backyard is large and private with great trees and perennials, and great views of a family of red-tailed hawks that live nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at Sandra's place. The flat was exactly as described, with close access to the tube, nice bars\resturants & a small shopping mall. Sandra especially organised a double airbed for our children at our request, quickly replaced a broken hairdryer and was happy to answer any questions. We would stay there again.
My family felt extremely welcomed by Sandra! The place is even better than the description, clean, comfortable, and at an awesome location near the subway and all kinds of shops. Sandra made made sure that all the details were in order.
Sandra is a great host! Even though we made the reservation right on the day we moved in we still felt so welcomed by her family! We went the restaurant she suggested in the neighborhood and it was fantastic!
We stayed in Sandras appartment for 2 days. It was really good, the appartment is really good, it is clean and really good located. Sandra had a lot of travel guides in the appartment and a list with all the important things in the area (stores, Bars, taxies, restaurants..)
Sandra is really nice, she answered our questions really quick and made our stay in Toronto really easy with all her help. It is a awesome place to stay in Toronto.
This is our second time staying at Sandra's place, and it was as comfortable and convenient as we remembered. The location is great, the place has everything you need, it's clean, comfy and cozy. We'll be back.
Sandra's flat was clean and tidy. Living room is well organised with a beautiful stereo and a lot of books. Kitchen was well-stocked with all the essential. In bedroom the ceiling is low.
Sandra was kind and welcoming and she give us a book with a lot of suggestion where to eat, for the shopping, etc.
We recommend this apartment!
Had looked for a central location for myself and a friend to stay on our own while I was in Toronto visiting my daughter and her family. This location is perfect - close to my daughter, the subway, great restaurants and coffee shops. The apt is outfitted with everything you would need and Sandra could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The apt is 1 br, with a surprisingly comfortable pullout couch. Strongly recommend this location for anyone looking for an oasis in the city!
