My husband and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary, September 30th, at the cabin just outside of McCall, Idaho. The quaint little town of McCall is so beautiful. The cabin was breath taking! So beautiful! We walked in and it was like, WOW! The craftsmanship of the cabin was so perfect! The owners Mark and Renee did such an incredible job with this cabin. They are gracious enough to let people rent it out, get away from the busy hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. It was so nice and peaceful! We went on walks every night and saw a red fox, deer and so many squirrels. Mark and Renee have the cabin furnished with everything you need. If we ever had a question they were just a phone call away. Mark has an incredible talent with wood working. Mark made the beds, night stands, end tables and kitchen table they are absolutely beautiful!! I enjoyed having our morning coffee outside on the wrap around porch/ deck. It snowed one morning which was just breath taking. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Mark and Renee's cabin. It's a perfect place for getaways, family get togethers. We plan on visiting again with the whole family. We can't wait!!! Thank you again for your hospitality and the delicious jam you left for us. Dan and Monica Eaton. Henderson, NV
We had a wonderful time at Mark and Renee's cabin. It is a beautiful cabin -- they did a wonderful job and is very comfortable. The wrap around porch is a fantastic place to start the day with your cup of coffee and a good book. We also enjoyed the hammock. The cabin has lots of light and beautiful views out onto the woods. We were thrilled to find it.
We also really enjoyed the area around McCall. There in the summer time, we rafted the Salmon River, kayaked on the Upper Payette, rented a pontoon boat and did some fishing on the lake and enjoyed the hot springs close by. We ran out of time and hope to be back to explore some more of the area and enjoy this cabin again. You won't be disappointed. Mark was also very helpful about making sure we had what we needed and all of our questions where answered. You couldn't ask for better hosts -- and the blackberry jam was delicious. We ate it all while we were there!
Mark and Renee met while working in McCall, Idaho. Mark was a smoke jumper and Renee was a fire lookout. Before moving away they purchased the land. After 25+years of saving, and 3 years building with finishing touches, this cabin is now Mark and Renee's home sweet away from home. And now it can be yours too.
