  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Harvey's place in Vermont. First and foremost, Harvey is an excellent host. He was very welcoming and repeatedly went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed. He was very responsive to email and messages before and during our visit. He really went above and beyond what was expected by making sure the kitchen was stocked with basics before we arrived, offering help with the kids, and he even bought a slow cooker for us to use during our stay!

We had more than enough room in the house for our group of four adults, two toddlers, and two babies. I'm sure the house could easily accommodate a larger group of adults as there were several beds, couches, and pull outs. We enjoyed being able to use the multiple living spaces upstairs and downstairs to split up and wind the kids down at night. It should also be mentioned that the location was very convenient to Waitsfield.

All in all, we had a great experience and would consider staying at Harvery's place again.

    Response from Harvey:

I enjoyed having Mari and her family stay with us in Vt. We would certainly welcome her again. Mari did provide me with a couple of suggestions which included making better use of the downstairs space. We will be completing work on the downtairs space before the end of January. This will include a completely separate second downstairs bedroom (with dressing area) as well as a separate back entry that will have a mudroom and equipment area. Thanks Mari for your suggestions. They will help our future guests to have even more space and be more comfortable. We always welcome suggestions from our guests and always try to make the guest house even more comfortable for them.

  • The place is very spacious, clean and has amazing views! The kitchen is well-stocked with dried foods and condiments. Harvey, the owner, is very easy to get along with, helpful and accommodating! He makes sure that we are comfortable and has everything we need! He made us feel at home from the moment we pulled over in his driveway up to the last day we were packing up and getting ready to leave!

Harvey's guesthouse is in Waitsfield, VT. There are so many places to visit in the nearby towns (Stowe, Burlington, Warren, Montpelier). All below 1-hour driving distance! There were some decent restaurants too: Dutch Pancake Café (amazing pancakes at the Grey Fox Inn in Stowe) and Michael's on the Hill (classy restaurant with local cuisine in Waterbury-Stowe). Harvey's location is just perfectly convenient to see (some) beautiful towns of Vermont!

I HIGHLY recommend this place. The property and the owner are topnotch!

  • My parents, my brother and I stayed with Harvey for 4 nights in October. It was a wonderful experience and Harvey certainly is the best host you can imagine. The guesthouse not only has a great view but is also really spacious, clean and has everything you need (from towels to games for the family). Before we arrived, Harvey even asked us, what kind of groceries he should buy in advance. He had good recommendations regarding sights, hikes, restaurants and is really thoughtful. Whenever you plan a trip to Vermont: Book with Harvey.

    Response from Harvey:

We were so happy that Johnna and her delightful family stayed with us. They are a wonderful, interesting and generous family . It is great to get positive feedback on our efforts to make their stay both comfortable and enjoyable. We always ask our guests if there is anyting "special" needed for their visit. I certainly hope Johanna visits again.

  • Harvey (email hidden), he was very communicative and made sure everything was prepared for our stay even though he was out of town. The house was well equipped and had plenty of space for our large party, 5 adults and 2 children. Just be prepared that one of the bedrooms is directly off the main entry door from the parking area, so it is less private. It was also conveniently located for the wedding we attended in Waitsfield. I would recommend this house for any large group looking to stay in the area.
