Eco friendly Holiday apartment in recently renovated old barn on a small farm in the Black Forest. Enjoy the surounding nature by foot, bike, skies or just relax in our huge garden. Children will love our farm animals, sand pit and slide.
We are in a small, quiet village in the soutern Black Forest (part of Unesco Biosphere Reserve). A small grocery shop and a Restaurant are in the village.

The space
Sleeps up to 6 people in 3 double beds. Two of the beds are made on straw bales, so you shoudn't be allergic or a princess. We tried to keep the charm of the old barn alive as much as possible.

The holiday apartement is situated in a former barn on our 3500m² big property. The barn is connected to the house by a crossing. On the outside of the building, we tried to change as little as possible. The inner part has been affectionately renovated, whereby mostly local and sustainable materials have been used.

The apartment exists out of a small livingroom with kitchenette, wood fired stove and dining table. Above the livingroom there is one of the bedrooms with 1 double bed. In the other Bedroom there are two beds made on straw bales (with thin matresses on top). The big modern bathroom connects the livingroom with the second bedroom. Central heating is installed in all rooms.

With good weather, you are welcome to enjoy our big garden with terrace, hammocks, trampoline, sand box, swing and fireplace and farm animals (goats, ducks and chickens).

The whole apartment is rented out with private bathroom and small kitchenette.
Acces via a old wooden stairs outside of the building.

There is a sauna on the property wich can be used by our guests as well at an extra charge (10 euros for towels and cleaning + 10 euros per session for max 4 pers).

Other things to note
Broadband Internet (WIFI) available. There is no regular TV but we do provide a Laptop and some DVDs.

Small village in the soutern Black Forest (Naturpark Südschwarzwald & Unesco Biosphere Reserve).
There is a small grocery shop and a restaurant in the village. More restaurants are available in nearby villages. Great area for hiking and mountainbiking. If you are looking for standard Black Forest Cuckoo Clock tourism this might not be the best area, but we do have awesome nature & landscapes.
Cross country skiing is possible in Winter on the 5 minutes away area called "Lipple" (elevation 800 meters so no snow garanteed). Small skiing area is about 30 minutes away. We can rent out our Snowshoes at a charge of 10 euro/pair/day (max. 3 pairs available).
In Summer bathing is possible in the small creek in the village or in the nearby small lake called "Nonnenmattweiher".
There is a beautifull Spa in Badenweiler, about 20 minutes drive.
In the greater area (up to one hour drive) you can find great attractions like the Todtnauer Waterfalls, Titisee, Wineries and the cities of Freiburg and Basel.

We are Leonie from Germany and Remko from the Netherlands. After having lived some years in the Netherlands and some travelling we moved to the "Kleine Wiesental" in summer 2014 in order to realize our dream of our own little farm. Now, we live here with our 3 sons (born 2015, 2017 & 2021), some ducks, chickens and in summertime two goats. In our daily life we try to be self sufficient for example by growing our own veggies and fruits.
