This home is in The Rocks, Sydney’s oldest and most central neighbourhood. Stunningly beautiful, it is minutes from both the Sydney Central Business District ('CBD') and Sydney Harbour.

-Sydney CBD (10 mins walk)
-Circular Quay (15 mins walk)
-The Sydney Opera House (20 mins walk)
-Darling Harbour (20 mins walk)

The apartment is spacious and on two levels. It is a lovely 100 year old building with modern bathroom and kitchen. The main living room, kitchen, courtyard and one toilet are downstairs. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, a second living room, the main bathroom and a balcony. The balcony is off the second bedroom and living room and has views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. There is a deck off the main bed room, at the back of the building.

A Truly Spectacular Part of Sydney
The Rocks is Australia’s oldest neighbourhood, being the original location of the British penal colony. It became a thriving maritime area during the 19th and early 20th Centuries. Many of the original houses, pubs and shops are still standing. These days it is a charming, leafy neighbourhood right on the doorstep of the city and all of it’s attractions, including nearby restaurants and bars. Sydney’s oldest pub, The Lord Nelson, is our local where they brew their own beer on site and serve up a great meal too. Take a stroll through the cobblestone laneways of The Rocks or up to the park in nearby Observatory Hill and take in the great view of the harbour!
It’s also a lovely spot to come home and get away for the pace of the city. Wander around the streets and try not to fall in love with this place.
If you’re not much into walking, there is a bus stop 50 metres away with regular buses to the CBD, Town Hall Station and Central Railway Station. Hailing a taxi from my front door is easy and takes no time at all for one to come past. To get to and from the airport there is the regular Airport Link train leaving from Circular Quay station or a taxi takes about 25 mins (depending on traffic).
The place will be clean and beds made up when you arrive. After that you won’t get your bed made on a daily basis or apartment cleaned while you stay. If you are staying for more than a week, we can arrange a weekly cleaner at an extra cost but you will need to request this.
Check in time is 2pm. We may be able to arrange a bag drop / check in earlier, but we need to make those arrangements well in advance. So, if the 2pm check in time isn’t your preference, please talk to me about it before you make your reservation.
Check out time is 10:50am.
If you have a baby, I can provide a portable cot for a total cost of $30 (one payment for full stay). This is additional to house rental price and you would need to advise me a few days beforehand of your requirement.
No smoking inside the apartment please.
Do not light a fire in the fireplaces. They are not safe and the chimney does not work!
Please leave kitchen clean and tidy upon departing, including plates etc.
The apartment in the Rocks was perfect for us. We didn't have a car, so we found the location to be ideal for exploring the lovely Rocks neighborhood on foot and access to Circular Quay, the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge. Lots of restaurants, nightclubs, shops and the wonderful Rocks Market within walking distance. The apartment had everything we needed. I loved the yellow bedroom and found it very cheerful. It was also very quiet. Lachlan was attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend this home as a base for a great time in Sydney.
Lachlan was a great host. As an Airbnb newbie, I couldn't have wished for anything better.
Great location and lovely accommodation. But for work commitments during the week, I wish could have spent more time just relaxing in the upstairs lounge.
I'll be back.
Although we didn't get the chance to meet Lachlan he responded quickly to any questions we asked by email. He allowed us to leave our luggage at 11am which enabled us to do some sight seeing whilst waiting for the book in time. The apartment was very clean and accurately described. The position of the apartment was great and close to all amenities. Most of our evening meals were from that area especially the Lord Nelson Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back in the future. THANKYOU LACHLAN FOR A GREAT STAY.
Lovely place, great location for a short walk to the quay and opera house. Lots of excellent living space with balconies and reading room. Thoroughly enjoyable stay
Lachlan was very easy to deal with, quick responses and he helped out with information regarding the area. His terrace is beautiful and located in a great spot.

I'm an easy going guy who enjoys travel and meeting new and interesting people. Also love spending time in the ocean, cinema and time out with friends.
I love living in Sydney. This property is normally my home but I am living away for a year so am very happy to offer it to you to be your home in Sydney. I am also happy to share all that I know about this town with my guests to help their stay be more enjoyable.
