The space
Peaceful, secluded, self-contained gite with wonderful views over a valley. The gite dates from the 14th century, and used to be the garrison for the nearby castle. The gite has 1 double bedroom, and another bedroom containing 4 single beds. There is also an open-plan kitchen / living room / dining room, and a large terrace overlooking the large garden (which is ideal for both kids and dogs to run around in. Dogs are more than welcome). Finally, there is a large outdoor table and BBQ area, ideally for sunny summer evenings. The gite is on the edge of Loubés-Bernac, within easy driving distance of many Bastide towns (Duras, Eymet and St.Foy-La-Grande) , Bergerac (25 mins) and Bordeaux (1 hour). Within the village there is a convenience store, post office and restaurant (all less than 5 minutes walk away). And there are vineyards galore! Including one right next door. Finally the popular Plum Village retreat is 5 minutes drive away.

It is worth noting that a car is essential - the village is not on a bus route, nor does it have a train station.

The gite is available for bookings from April 1st to 31st October. Bookings in June, July and August must be for a minimum of 7 days.
