For those visiting on business or those who are looking to explore the many delights of central Sydney it’s a leisurely 10 mins stroll down Williams St to the heart of the CBD.
One street up is Victoria St, Sydney’s most dynamic dining area with lots of hidden gems. These include the iconic coffee spot, Bar Coluzzi; the city's renowned Austrian schnitzel house, Una's; and the fabulously cheap Tropicana Caffe, the birthplace of the Tropfest short film festival. Affordable Asian eats abound, as do brekkie and cafe spots, plus there are a host of finer-dining options, most of them small and relatively intimate.
You are also a short wander from the colorful delights of Oxford St, Surry Hills, Paddington and the entertainment hub of Kings Cross.
There is an abundance of public transport options on the doorstep. Our place is a three minute walk to the train station, there are buses that go the main key locations including 389 which goes directly to Bondi Beach.
We are at the end of the phone if you need any more info.
Tom, Alice, Oscar and Molly (our amazing house keeper!).
You have access to the apartment, the courtyard and the rooftop entertainment area and pool.
Interaction with Guests
We greet guest, show them around and give them the keys. If you need a car park we take you there with the car.
Either myself or Molly our amazing house manager will be there to do that. Other than that the place is yours and won't see us.
Check out, please just leave the keys and the car park remote on the table and let us know you have gone.
The general rule I guess is respect. Please respect the property, and your neighbours while you stay.
It's not really a party pad, so if you are looking for a place to kick on after a big night, then this probably is not the place for you.
Also please leave the pool and BBQ area as you found it, the residents are very protective of our beautiful roof area. As a general rule, the area is just for residents, and not for friends of residents.
The final rule is that you have to enjoy your stay in our lovely little pad.
Tom & Alice x
Great location and perfect hideaway for us during the recent storms. A quick dash in the rain to the supermarket for supplies or Kings Cross station to get to indoor venues and then home again to cosy up and watch some telly. Nice to have current magazines to read and wonderful service from Molly who responded quickly to any questions we had.
This apartment is just minutes by foot from Kings Cross station, so it's easy to get to anywhere in town. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.
The flat itself is in a nice building, and is fully furnished. I was surprised to see how well stocked the kitchen was, from cupboard staples to cooking utensils. After traveling elsewhere in Australia, I was excited to find the wifi was free and high speed.
There is air conditioning, though to use it you have to leave the window open a bit. There's not really a place to keep a suitcase out, but there is storage in the closet, including hangers.
Overall, I feel this flat was value for money, and the owners and tenants take care of it.
We had a great time stopping at Tom & Alice's in Sydney. The apartment was perfect - clean and had everything we needed. Just as described. We found it really easily, few mins from kings cross train and about 25 mins in a taxi from airport. Tom accommodated our extra requests for checking in and out times (thank you!) and communication was v easy.
The rooftop pool and deck area is amazing! Great views and lovely to chill out there after lots of exploring.
Location is great, lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby and also within walking distance of all main tourist spots. We also walked to Rushcutters Bay- really nice area.
Highly recommend Tom & Alice's apartment.
A bottle of wine welcoming us to the flat was a very nice surprise. The place was very clean (definite +) and exactly what was expected per the listing. Short steps away from excellent restaurants and coffee shops in a great neighborhood.
Highly recommend Alice and Tom's place. Communication was perfect and the place was very clean and tidy. Lovely location lots of locals cafes and pubs around - and it was nice to have a little walk into the CBD. The roof top pool is amazing!
The location is good. And Tom is a good landlord, it's nice and consideration. We like our stay. But the apartment is more smaller than my expectation. I stayed with my husband, parents and baby there. It shows that it can service for 4 people, but I think a couple will be perfect to enjoy it.
The apartment in the the westbury hotel was perfect for our 2 week stay. It had all the mod cons we needed, and more, to make our stay the most enjoyable experience. The location is superb, a couple of minutes walk from kings cross station and right in the middle of countless bars and restaurants, but it's still very peaceful. The roof top terrace views are to die for. Highly recommended!
We are a young family from the UK. We have just produced a little Australian called Oscar. I am Scottish and a passionate muso who worked in the music industry for many years as a publicist. With the intention of getting in the family way a couple of years ago I got my self a ‘proper’ job and I am now working as a recruiter in the creative industries. Alice is English, an amazing mother, a graphic designer by trade and a passionate interior designer at heart. We both love meeting new people, exploring new menus and travel…and the odd glass of red.
We look forward to meeting you when you stay.
