The Space

So simple and charming, it's like visiting your Nonna's house! Nestled in a medieval, hilltop village in the region of Abruzzo, Casa da Carmine is near all the town's conveniences - restaurants, grocery store, bank, post office, flower shop, gas station, and locally-owned little "bodegas". Yet it allows guests to partake of all Abruzzo has to offer: spectacular mountain hikes, skiing, local music, food, and craft festivals, wineries, monasteries, art galleries, and beaches.
There are two private bedrooms, one with a view of the stunning Gran Sasso mountains; the other with a view over the vast, peaceful Fino River Valley.
The kitchen is large and fully-equipped.
Vaulted cielings and thick, stone walls transport you to another era. The town's friendly people embrace you as one of their own. You will be able to experience the rhythm and pulse of authentic Italy.
Rome is an easy day-trip away; Venice, the region of Puglia, and Croatia are easily accessable for those who wish to build an extended holiday.

About
Teresa Mastrobuono is a second generation Italian-American who has had the great good fortune of realizing a dream of owning a house in Italy. Abruzzo, the unspoiled "green heart" of Europe pulled her because its people, lifestyle, food, and gregariousness harkened back to growing up in her grandparents' Italian household. It is this experience Teresa wishes to share with guests via Guesthouse Casa da Carmine. The house is named after her father, who poured his heart into his family and made this house possible.
