Nestled in a medieval, hilltop village in the region of Abruzzo, Casa da Carmine is near all the town's conveniences - restaurants, grocery store, bank, post office, flower shop, gas station, and locally-owned little "bodegas". Yet it allows guests to partake of all Abruzzo has to offer: spectacular mountain hikes, skiing, local music, food, and craft festivals, wineries, monasteries, art galleries, and beaches.
There are two private bedrooms, one with a view of the stunning Gran Sasso mountains; the other with a view over the vast, peaceful Fino River Valley.
The kitchen is large and fully-equipped.
Vaulted cielings and thick, stone walls transport you to another era. The town's friendly people embrace you as one of their own. You will be able to experience the rhythm and pulse of authentic Italy.
Rome is an easy day-trip away; Venice, the region of Puglia, and Croatia are easily accessable for those who wish to build an extended holiday.

Interaction with Guests
When I am at the house, I am available for guidance about what to see, where to go, and how to get there. When I am not there, my property manager is available and helpful. Also, you become part of the town family and, as such, every inhabitant is willing to offer help to make your stay memorable.
The people clearly love their town and are happy to share its features with guests. They are embracing and genuinely interested in visitors. They will help you in any way they can. There are spectacular mountain views, cafe's and pizzeria's with relaxing atmospheres, and pleasant walks around and just outside of town.
Car is recommended.

While I love pets, for the comfort of guests who may have allergies, none are permitted.
The main part of the house is accessed by a set of stairs, so may be a challenge to those with limited mobility. Breakfast is available from June to August. At other times, it is self-catering. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation. Grocery stores and an outdoor market are within a few minutes walk from the house.
On-premise laundry facilities are available. Guests supply own detergent, etc.

Pick-up service, Pescara Airport or train station = $25 per round trip

Cleaning is done before and after each stay, or once a week for stays of two weeks or longer.
