Wonderful & charming accommodation! Very well located in beautiful nature with great view (sunset!). Francesca is a wonderful and friendly host. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped (no high tech kitchen equipment but it wasn't needed either - you can cook enough meals without them). In my opinion the mattresses were very comfortable (I guess it depends what you are used to). We all wished for more days to stay here, in this divine place!
We spent two weeks at "La noce" and had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the beautiful location, the very spacious apartment with three bedrooms.
Francesca and her family are most helpful and friendly and we loved getting fresh tomatos and other vegetables.
It's a very dogfriendly place ... Although one should be a dog lover because there are many dogs around.
The matresses could have been a bit softer (we needed two nights to get used to them), the kitchen is ok (beautiful sink with beautiful view over the gorgeous property). The equipement (cuttlery) is rather purely equipped and there is money being safed on the wrong side as we are not talking about investing hundreds of euros.
Altogether, though, we enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly come back again with great pleasure!!
Francesca was a wonderful host and made our stay very enjoyable. The villa was well equipped and the pool area was fantastic. A great place to come home to after a busy day sightseeing in Florence. Easy to take the train from Londa (5 minute drive) to Florence. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a true Tuscan stay.
Fabulous! Absolutely recommended! Gorgeous views of the mountains, wonderful location, immaculate home that is beautifully restored! We wanted to stay and live there. Francesca knows the area so well and was very helpful with planning our day trips. Communication with Luca was fantastic, smooth and prompt. He provided helpful information about Florence and area.
A very special place.
There is my wife's opinion: "Time that I spend there with my friends was really wonderful, so cozy house with special warm atmosphere inside, it was great pleasure to spend few days there far away from the big sity, enjoy fresh air, birds songs, flowers smell and mountains!!!! House is very comfortable for the team of friends and couples and families, everybody will find their own happiness and harmony. Few day after leaving I want to come back again!!! I truly recommend this wonderful villa!!! Special thank you, Luca, for his advices and information about interesting places which we could find there and HUGE THANK you, Franceska and her family, for so warm greeting and help there. I was happy to be there and I will be happy to come back. Jana"
Me and my 5 girlfriends had a lovely stay at the apartment of Luca and Francesca. The house was clean and there was enough space for all of us. The open kitchen has everything to prepare a nice meal and with a large table in the garden you can eat outside. The pool was very nice (a bit cold in may) but with the sun and stunning view over the mountains a perfect place to relax. The house is an hour away from Florence and in the area there are nice wineries to visit. Luca is also very helpful and fast to give advise on where to go or if you have any questions. Because there are so many wineries to visit the only thing we missed in the house where some (6) wine glasses so that you can enjoy the nice Chianti's you've bought. Overall we had an amazing week and a truly Toscany/Italian feeling. Thank you!
Pros: The home is gorgeous and quite roomy. We were 6 and did not feel crowded at all! You are also close to the train station to go to Florence which was nice and much cheaper than parking downtown & the train ride took about 45 min one way. Luca the owner was very helpful in planning some day trips too. We also had dinner prepared for us the first evening for only €22 a person and it was amazing!
Cons: We ran out of toilet paper the first day. There was also no staples that have been in every other airbnb home Ive stayed in such as salt, olive oil, dish soap etc. When we asked for oil we got a half empty bottle and were charged €4. Also there was a basket we were told was complementary but we were charged for some but not all things in the basket, and we paid because at this point we were annoyed. I Made the resevations and paid yet the woman taking care of the home ingored me the entire time, preferring to speak only with my Italian friend, even though I spoke a bit of Italian as well, and the entire party noticed this happening which finally became rude and embarassing. Also, the pool was dirty and not ready for use and no chairs were out to sit by the pool, which is one of the main reasons we booked this property, as i have been to Toscana many times and thought a pool would be' nice for my friends visiting from the US.
Overall, the trip was great as its Toscana so you really cant go wrong. However, i would not stay here again given my other visits that were better as far as housing and hospitality goes. Maybe the caretaker was having a bad week....?
Renae, I am very sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay. As you can see from all my other reviews I strive to make my guests happy but if you don't tell me you are unhappy while you are here then there is no way I can fix any problems!
As per your comments:
- There are no houses in Tuscany with the pool open in April, most villas open the pool mid to end of may. We open the pool at the end of April, beginning of May (depending on weather) and are among the firsts to do so
- Toilet paper: we leave two rolls in the house, but happy to provide more if the guests ask for it (not the case this time)
- As per the staples, we provided all but oil and vinegar (we forgot!). Sorry, we’ll make sure to remember next time.
- In the basket that we leave in the house products are not complementary, as explained by the price list (we don’t sell it for a margin, but just to give guests the opportunity to try some local products)
Maybe it was just a matter of communicating better the needs. In any case we will take your comments and do our best to improve next time. Best Luca
The best experience we have ever had. The house is located on the top of the mountain over looks Tuscan valley. Where a chain of green mountains. It is a quite area, all you hear is birds sound. It is a 4 kilometer from Londa, a small town. The house is 1060 old, a typical European stone house from the outside, however, it is well renovated. They kept the same architecture. An ideal place for people who wants tranquility and pieces of mind. The best place for family who has children. We were met by Judy, owner's daughter, who was extremely nice, hospitable and helpful. People are extremely friendly in town. If I come again to the area I will stay longer.
