Bright and stylish apartment facing Piazza San Cosimato, one of the most vibrant Piazzas in Rome. It lies in the heart of Trastevere within walking distance to most major monuments in Rome.
This 95 SQM apartment is located on the second floor with an elevator. It has 3 Bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 6/7. It is ideal for families or 2 or 3 couples. It is available for short and medium term rentals.
The living room faces Piazza San Cosimato and is sunny and bright. There is a loft area with 2 single beds, dining table with seating for 6, a couch, coffee table and a piano. The apartment is decorated with art and has its original tile floor from the 1900's. Additionally there is a library of english movies and books in the hallway that leads to the master bedroom. High speed wireless internet is available.
The kitchen is fully stocked with an stove, oven, refigerator and washing machine. Although separate, it opens onto the dining area.
The master bedroom has a double bed and closet space. Its window overlooks a courtyard so it is quiet and calm. The second bedroom also faces the courtyard and it has a double bed and closet space. In addition there is a small windowless 3rd BDR/studio with a bunk bed sleeping 1 and a desk.
Full bathroom with tub/shower attachment.
3 night minimum.
€200,00 security deposit that will be reimbursed if all OK. The apartment must be left clean or there will be an additional €35,00 cleaning fee.
Disappointment at Piazza San Cosimato.
We spent the Christmas holidays in Nina's apartment, totally 13 days. It was quite a mixed experience.
The family of three adults and a youth had looked forward to a homelike atmosphere with good food at Christmas time. But the kitchen state meant that we only ate breakfast in the apartment.
In the kitchen there was a thick layer of dirty grease on all surfaces, the freezer was iced with black dirt. In the fridge there was leftover from previous visitors and it was dirty and flow of water from a leaking rubber strip and the handle was broken off.
The oven was definitely not tempting because of a thick cake of burnt grease and the filter in the hood was condensed and missing light bulb. Half of the pots lacked the handle and the dirty frying pan peels Teflon.
The kitchen was equipped with 4 cups, two of them were cracked and one was unusable. Tea towels were discolored and outworn and smelled sour, even after we washed them.
Miserable dishwashing opportunities for kitchenware, no washing up bowl and a leaky plug in the sink.
The rest of the apartment was partially cleaned of visible surfaces, but in the corners and all surfaces overhead was covered with old dirt.
However, the bath and the beds were clean with clean linens. Unfortunately, in one of the bedrooms there was black mold on the ceiling with a green tint developed over time due to water damage. In addition there were in the same bedroom, placed a hot water tank who every 5 min clamored loudly (faulty?).
When I mentioned this to Nina, she offered generously that we could be released from the lease, but who wants to stand on the street on Christmas Eve in Rome, with the family and suitcases to find a place to stay?
I think it was a shame to have such an experience, the apartment has definitely potential for a cozy and homey feeling and the location is fine.
Nina is a professional landlord; she has three apartments which she rents out through Airbnb.
So this is just not good enough.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The apartment is cleaned professionally between guests. We have not had any complaints of cleanliness in the past.
This apartment rented for €115 a night for 4 people. This is well much more than half price you would pay for 2 rooms over the christmas holidays in this location in Rome. It is a huge saving to you. This is the spirit of AIRBNB that you can stay in people's apartment for a fraction of the cost. You want to pay very little but have the comforts of a 4 star hotel! I suggest you reserve a hotel room next time and pay the according price.
Also frankly I was very taken back that you only started complaining several days after you had come on (christmas eve!) and tried to get a reduction of the price further. If you had complaints you should have mentioned it when you arrived on the 19th and we did the check in, not several days later in order to get a reduction! Still I offered to give a full reimbursement because frankly I felt very uncomfortable having you as my guests.
Please reserve a hotel next time.
A fantastic apartment in Rome. Very clean with great facilities and location. Brilliant to have the independence to explore the city from your own place.

We had a great stay at the apartment. The flat is big enough for 3 people, clean and fully equipped, the bedrooms really quiet and perfectly situated in the lovely Trastevere district. Our host was very efficent in fixing the wifi problem within 1 day and gave us many good addresses and directions. Overall I would highly recommend this appartment!
The apartment was perfect for me and my 5 friends! It was clean and in an incredible area! Walking distance from all of the major sites in Rome. Thanks Nina!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nina's apartment. It is very spacious and is situated on a street with a playground (so great spot for families). Located near restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and a local food market. Oh and transport, however all the sights were in walking distance. Communication with Nina was easy, although everything was set out perfectly so
did not need to contact her during our stay. Her son, Raphael greeted us and was very informative and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
Excellent apartment, perfect location & great host.
I definitely recommend to stay in Trastevere!
