  • J&A's place was excellent. I arrived to a meticulously organized apartment and graciously arranged welcome treats "granola and coffee (French press included)". The positive energy coming out of their place makes you feel right at home, their charm and happiness is so contagious that you just wish they were your neighbors, best friends, family... really incredible people. Communication was also good, with Josh being available to answer my questions (even afterhours). Please rent from this healthy living, nature lover couple.. you won't regret it :-D

  • Staying at Joshua's place was very pleasant. He was hospitable and nice enough to accommodate us last minute. Our stay was very short so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities like the clubhouse and pool. We did however, run the trail walking distance from the complex, we got lost but had fun finding our way back. Joshua's apartment is clean and comfortable and really is close to everything! My husband and I regret not bringing our bicycles along. We would definitely recommend Joshua's place.

  • Great stay! Most gracious and generous hosts who even prepared in advance to have my favorite breakfast ingredients on hand and when my taxi/mass transit-bus options were taking longer than expected, Josh kindly offered to drive me downtown and eventually even to the airport on my last day which was such an unexpected bonus. I swim regularly and the heated pool and spa were both awesome (just make sure no one accidentally turns off the heater button when you arrive). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a clean comfortable and friendly option. This worked out perfectly for me during SXSW 2014 where uberX drove me back at night (for free too) but that only happens during SXSW.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Josh and Adria's. They are a very sweet accommodating couple, wish we had the time to stay longer. They were very gracious opening their apartment to us and available if we needed anything else. They are very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Love the queen tempur-pedic mattress and double sink bathroom!

  • Hi Josh You are really a lovely couple and your apartment was great and the bed was sooo comfortable. The weekend was a terrible rush so we were unable to enjoy Austin and the surroundings as much as we had wished. It was an ideal location for getting to the Circuit of the Americas. My only thoughts were the B&B side of things in that we were expected to travel to another venue for this which, considering the cost for the weekend, was not acceptable. Nevertheless I highly recommend you as a B&B host! Thank you for your recommendations regarding restaurants and shopping - Serena certainly took advantage of the latter. Hope to return next year but will take a longer break and make it a holiday. Texas and certainly Austin are not a weekend trip! Many thanks and kindest regards Richard & Serena.

    Response from Joshua:

I'm glad you had a decent stay in Austin but I'm terribly sorry we didn't provide for you better on the breakfast side of things. We'd expected you both to be out at the track early everyday and since AirBnB's encouraged hosts to send guests to the 3 breakfast spots around town we figured it would be a great way to experience some of Austin's fun places to eat. We went ourselves Sat and Sun! Nonetheless, we should have communicated more clearly about your preferences and apologize that we didn't quite meet your expectations. If you get a chance, we'll make it up to you next year!

  • Our stay at Joshua and Adria's was really enjoyable. We, unfortunately, didn't get to meet due to their being out of town, but the communication was always prompt and helpful. Jamie also helped a lot and was patient enough to make himself available to check us in- despite a couple of delays on our end (long story). They sure made my first experience in the airbnb community a great one.

The place was perfectly clean and cozy and we felt right at home. I'll definitely contact Joshua about staying again on my next trip to Austin. Thanks, Josh!
    See you next time!

  • I went to Austin to promote my start-up at SXSW. I decided, first time ever, to use Airbnb and I stayed with Josh and Adria. It was a wonderful experience, and I am grateful for their hospitality, kindness and friendship. They made this time my best and most pleasant business trip ever. Thank you!

  • We really enjoyed our first experience with airbnb. Our hosts were friendly and helpful with local tips.

  • Josh and Adria were a pleasure to stay with! Josh was great at communicating and being flexible with when I could show up and check out. They offered me towels, soap, and a clean room to sleep in. To top it off, they let my friend stay there last minute and even blew up an air mattress to accommodate him. I was definitely impressed with their hospitality and willingness to chat about Austin as I'm considering a move here.

Howdy from Austin, Texas! Actually, I never say that but everywhere I go people hear Texas and think 10 gallon hat! :) I love this place so I don't mind but I'm more the outdoor type than a two-steppin' cowboy (which you can do at The Broken Spoke just down the road!). My girlfriend and I live together in a great place very close to Zilker park and the complex is directly on the greenbelt where we tend to spend our free time. We hike, go through phases with rock climbing, cycle, frisbee golf or ultimate and swim Barton Springs. This is a great town. Great outdoors. Great people. And we have gotten to be experts at which places have good happy hours! I've traveled extensively through NZ/Australia, SE Asia/China, India and Europe. The travel scene really reminds me how much we all have to offer each other. I think its important that if the world is ever to live in harmony we have to stay in touch. We'll often rent out the whole place and take off or just our spare room and point folks in the right direction for exploring this town. We're pretty friendly and happy to share but can be totally invisible too. Come say hello and share one of our favorite places!
