The Space

This is it. Classic NYC loft everyone dreams about when they move to New York. It took me 4 years to find this place. this is a 1000 square foot apartment....pretty much 2 blocks from empirestate building and 3 blocks from "eataly" ((website hidden) it) less then a block from Ace hotel home of stumptown coffee the best coffee served in NYC....oh and 3 blocks from the famous Anthony Bourdains joint "LesHalles" ((website hidden) it). I have decked this place out with designer furniture. 2 blocks from 2 major subway lines... doesn't really get better then this location when visiting NYC....did I mention K town is only a few blocks away??

The apartment has a standard kitchen, cute bathroom and huge living area along with loft style windows along with classic art deco mirrored bedroom doors with queensize bed and furniture by ABC carpet and Restoration Hardware....if you know about interior design you know about these brands.

The apartment faces the back of the building you dont hear any noise from the street...there is also Laundry facilities in the basement of the building...but why would you do you own washing on a holiday when you can get your laundry picked up and delivered with in 24 hours cheaply.

We have a lot of people inquiring about this apartment so you will need to be a verified Airbnb member via (website hidden) or (website hidden)...

Since this is our home we will be very conscious of who we will be subletting our apartment to.

So please tell us a little about yourself and your background. Happy Airbnb Hunting!

The Neighborhood

The Flatiron District—anchored by Madison Square Park on the north and Union Square to the south—is one of the city's busiest neighborhoods, particularly along 5th Avenue and Park Avenue South. In some ways it should still be called Ladies' Mile: the area is a favorite for spotting models because of the number of agencies and photography studios here. Lovely Madison Square (email hidden) space hemmed in by the neighborhood's notable architecture—from the triangular Flatiron to the dazzling, gold-pyramid-topped New York Life Building and the Metropolitan Life Tower, with its elegant clock face—is the best place to savor the view. Sit and admire the scene with a burger and shake from the park's always busy Shake Shack, or takeout from the new foodie favorite, Eataly, across the street from the west side of the park.

  • My husband and I stayed in Joel's apartment for a week during this past New Years Holiday and we had such a great stay!
Apartment is very confortable, cosy, very clean and warm (that was great considering the cold in NYC in this time of the year!!).
It is walking distance for Subway Station, from Empire State Building and many other central attractions!
Altough very central, you could not hear any noise from the street!
Bed is very confortable and apartment had all necessary amenities for our stay,
Joel left clean sheets, towels, soap as well as a complimentary bottle of white wine and nespresso coffee cops that we greatly appreciated!!along with a nice welcome message and some useful info on restaurants, places to eat in the nearby! He was definitely a great host and we felt like being at home!
    Wi-fi worked perfectly!

  • Beautiful apartment, amazing location, great host! We stayed in Joel's apartment in mid-town for 9 days while I attended a conference and roamed the city.

The apartment is huge with all the amenities that most people will want (soap, shampoo, towels etc...) Joel left a nice bottle of wine to welcome us. It's a very comfortable place to be at the end of a long day. As a host Joel was perfect and took care of any issues we had from afar. There was a building plumbing issue that was fixed rapidly with great communication from Joel.

The location couldn't possibly be better for my first trip to NYC. Subway stations are very close-by and everywhere was easy to get to by transit. most evenings we found ourselves walking back from whatever neighborhood we were in.

Some highlights of the area are the Empire State building, 34th street shopping, Les Halles restaurant, Koreatown, Eataly and the late-night food cart right on Joel's block.

I would definitely stay here again.
