Villa Maria Emilia is a stunning display of architecture and design style in Sayulita Mexico. Also this house projects all the huichol culture, which is an ancient community from this Mexican region.
This modern, hip, and sleek unit is located just two blocks from the beach and provided everything you could wish for during your luxury Sayulita vacation.
This house is perfect example of a detail planed decoration, everywhere you turn you will see work from this culture or referring to it.
Villa Maria Emilia is one of three luxury units sharing a common entrance and garden area, but still with complete independency and privacy.
Its first floor contains a full kitchen and luxurious living room complete with a large flat –screen TV. Both bedrooms are located on the second floor; each with their own individual attached private bathroom. Bathrooms are large, modern, and well lit.
The top terrace is a private retreat offering a small pool, outdoor palapa-covered seating, and ipod stereo. This is the perfect location to have morning coffee/tea, and then margaritas in the evening. The views are expansive and the breezes are gentle.
Your stay at Villa Maria Emilia in Sayulita will be very pleasant, comfortable, private, and relaxing. We are located towards the north end of town, just ½ block from Villas Sayulita
My party & I actually didn't get to stay at Maria Emilia as there was another party who liked it so much they extended their stay! There had been a drop in communication between the caretaker & the manager not noting the extension. But they resolved it by securing us a stay at Mariposas (Halo at Mariposas is super nice & even got us 2 air beds at the last minute! Tho I wouldn't recommend Mariposas for people w/ very small kids as the railings are wide, it's on the 2nd flr & has a narrow staircase. But for adults & older kids it was great! ). and refunding our money. Accidents happen & it's nice to know someone loved it so much they wanted to stay even longer!
Host: Maru and Sabrina were easy and nice to work with before and during our stay. They were very quick to refill the water, answer any questions, and keep us updated with things.
Home: To help clarify - this is a triplex. Maria Emilia is the middle unit. All units are 3 stories, each with it's own rooftop deck with private pool. Maria Emilia didn't not have a ocean view because the trees were blocking it, but still a lovely view. The house was about 2 blocks from the beach, and a 10 minute walk to downtown. It's the quieter end of the beach, which was great for my group. The neighborhood felt very secure, however I should note that the locks were hard to use, but they provided us with 2 sets of keys which made it easier for our group to get in and out as we wished. It was as clean as it could have been, however I think because it's older and in a humid area that it had a lingering musty smell. Otherwise towels and sheets were clean, and the maids came about every other day and did a nice job.
Overall - great value and wonderful service.
This place was cozy and great. It was a bit off the beaten path, but we enjoyed having the kitchen and pool. Sabrina was very responsive and Rosy did a great cleaning job.
We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful, clean, and a quick walk to the beach. The upstairs pool/balcony was a big plus! Sabrina was there to let us in and check us out right on time. We loved our stay - only wish it was longer!
Loved this little house! Excellent location, very clean and super easy communication w the property manager. Everything was great and would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed in this house for 8 days,so far the location was perfect but the house wasn't a good rented at all base on what you should expect or renting for.
The bed's sheets were very dirty and stinky ,looks like someone slept on all the beds and didn't change the sheets. One of the bathroom's sink had only hot water.
The kitchen sink was blocked and the water wasn't draining down and the pressure of the water was tribble ,the dishes were so dirty and dusty that we had to wash them all before using. This place wasn't ready to host any guest at all!
How ever there were many issues including the lights which was going off each day, we had to email Sabrina every day to fix something.
It was quiet annoying to have to deal with everything every day.
The 2 stars which i gave is only for the location otherwise this house is dark unlike the picture and malfunctioned and too expensive for what you get!
Our little family spent almost a week in Sayulita. We loved our trip, loved the village. Great atmosphere, very authentic feeling, with all the modern accommodation that makes our stay very comfortable.
The apartment is very conveniently located, it's not in the center of the town, but walking distance. It's very spacious, the little pool is perfect for morning and afternoon cool down. The living room is a bit darker than expected, but it might be a good thing since it keeps the inside of the apartment cool.
The host was very helpful, and provided a high chair for our baby, was available right away to send someone when we lost hot water.
I highly recommend this place.
