The Space

This unit is all about location. This 650 sf apartment is 2 blocks from the Market right on East Bay Street, in the heart of Downtown Charleston's historic district and french quarter. Once you're here you'll never need to get in a car unless you're traveling 15 minutes to ANY beach.

This unit comes with a large master bedroom (queen bed), a couch which sleeps one (maybe 2), one full bathroom, full kitchen, 2 off-street parking spaces, free wifi, cable TV, laundry on site, a pool, and walking distance to everything that matters.

One block away from a wonderful grocery store, 3 blocks from historic King Street Shopping District, 3 blocks from East bay's wonderful restaurant and bars, 1/2 a block from the Carriage Tour Ride headquarters and 2 blocks from Market Street. Does it get any better?

Hotels in this district will run $350 - $600 a night and still can't compare to these amenities AND 2 free parking spots with an outdoor private pool!

Bring your own sheets or choose from a stack of freshly laundered ones. Everything else is provided to you.

  • Shauna & Justin's place was perfect. They emailed me a list of instructions a week prior which made it very easy to access the unit. Would definitely stay again, the location is perfect for walking everywhere you want to go in Charleston!

    Apt was super convenient for Spoleto. However, a little updating of furniture and lighting would have made an adequate stay into a great stay.

  • Our experience with our hosts was professional and prompt. They responded quickly, we received an email about a week before our visit with all the instructions for check in etc. The instructions did not specify a check in time - so we arrived early, but were able to leave our luggage and go on our way.

    The apartment was in a great location - very convenient to shops, restaurants and to the local Harris Teeter. We picked up a few groceries for breakfast and then spent most of our time out and about. We parked our car using the tag provided. My sister was in town for my daughter's graduation and parked in one of the reserved spots in the apartment lot for the weekend and my dad came for graduation day and parked there as well. We never moved our cars.

    The apartment was clean and cool. It took a while for us to figure out how to use the living room tv, but my daughter had no problem with it. The bathroom was clean and presentable. The bed was comfortable and there were numerous pillows, sheets to make up the futon and extra blankets etc. Lots of towels. All good.

    The location picture is a bit deceiving. The apartment is in a greyish multi-story complex on East Bay Street near a variety of restaurants and shops. It is not near the water as the picture suggests.

    We would definitely stay here again.

  • Justin and Shauna's apartment was in the perfect location for exploring the best of what Charleston has to offer. Walking distance shops, bars, restaurants and the waterfront. Easy access to all major highways and bridges. Having a Harris Teeter one block down was a huge bonus. The apartment was clean, comfortable, safe and had everything we needed for a short stay. The check-in / check-out process could not have been easier. Not luxury but highly recommended!

  • Fantastic Location! It's a short walk to the grocery store, cruise ships, shops, carriage tours, and best restaurants. Check-in and out was easy and we had everything we needed and then some.

  • The location of this apartment was excellent. We loved being able to walk everywhere. We also loved being so close to an excellent 24hr grocery store, Harris Teeter.

    We found several excellent meals within walking distance, including FIG, Jestine's Kitchen (excellent fried chicken), Monza, and Trattoria Lucca ( this is the only restaurant we drove to).

    Others have noted that this wasn't a great apartment, but we found it perfectly acceptable. For the cost compared to hotels in the area you can't do better. Besides we didn't spend much time in the apartment as the whole point of going to Charleston was to see the city.

    The apartment did have a strange assortment of furniture but that was part of the charm.

  • Location was great, the place had plenty of space and was clean and inviting. Appreciated the free wifi and also Justin's quick response time when us airbnb newbs didn't know instructions to get into the apartment were in the itinerary.All in all a really good experience and would probably use again in Charleston.

    Also, Charleston rocks.
