1 bedroom in a 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of Carroll Gardens, 7 minutes from the F and G train Carroll street stop and a 15 minute ride to the lower East Side in Manhattan, 15 minutes to J Street metro tech with ACE,FBD,456 trains (that's practically the whole alphabet!
Steps away from the best pizza in the country at Lucali's, mouth-watering cinnamon rolls, and dozens of other trendy restaurants and coffee shops. We have a large bathroom, a huge living room flooded with sunlight and great kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals.
This room has a lovely red-brick wall and a cozy double-bed with a dresser and closet.
You'll be sharing the apartment with me (An actress who splits her time between Paris and New York) and Noemi, a lovely Swiss exchange student who is staying with us through March. We often have friends and family visiting from around the world, so there might be someone staying on the sofa for a few days during your time here. I love to meet new people and give tips on the neighborhood. Everyone in the 4 story building is awesome. The first floor neighbors hold meditation on Sundays and throw great parties in their enormous loft to which all are welcome. (don't worry, noise is never a problem) .The living room is huge with hardwood floors and lots of sunlight. We also have access to an incredible roof with a view of Brooklyn and manhattan. You don't need to bring a thing and will have access to our large living room, all our kitchenware, books and DVD's. The closet is empty, so there is plenty of room for your things. I'll be on hand via e-mail and (website hidden) to answer any questions you have and give you great tips for visiting our awesome city!
Downsides: The front door can be a little tricky to open on your first try, but I'll train you well. No one's had a problem yet. There is no intercom, so you have to go downstairs to let friends in. There's a gentle rumble from the BQE. I find it quiet and haven't had any complains on noise level, but it might not be for country bumpkins who need absolute silence.
The room itself is 10x7 ft. The Apartment itself is approximately 750 square feet.
I am looking for an awesome and respectful person who will treat our apartment tender loving care. When you reach out, please give me a little information about yourself and why you're spending time in the area.
*Please note that the apartment is on the 4th floor of a four floor walkup. There is no elevator.

I lived with Manisha for two months and I had a lovely stay! She is really nice and always ready to help you with many useful tips. The place is very pleasant and shiny, with a view of the Manhattan Skyline. It’s in a quite area with many groceries\restaurants\everything you need around and the Subway not too far away. I highly recommend her!
Manisha was a most lovely and accommodating host, ready to let us in after a delayed flight at 3am!! Super cute place in a very handy location right near a subway station, would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would also stay here again.
The reservation was canceled 44 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Manisha is awesome. She is a very kind host, always helpful. She will always make sure that everything is going well, and if there is anything you need. She will make sure that you are comfortable. If you have any trouble regardind anything at all, tell her. She will do her best and help you.
The apartment is great, very clean and beautiful. It has everything you'll need: high speed internet, big TV with lots of DVDs, full kitchen, tables at the living room and a big bathroom.
The neighborhood is amazing, very quiet, beautiful and safe. There are tons of good restaurants, grocery stores, is very close to the subway. Manhattan is just a quick trip away.
The room is also awesome. Spacious, heated, private and with plenty of space to store your stuff (drawers and closet). The bed is huge and very comfortable. It also has a cool view of the Manhattan skyline. You won't have to bring towels, blankets or anything. Manisha was also very kind to keep an umbrella available at the door for the rainy days.
Her roommate, Anna, is also very kind and helpful. She will also make sure that your stay is pleasant. Her cats, Bruce and Loretta, are the best. Bruce is very friendly and curious, and will be your companion at all times. Loretta is a little frightened, but once you earn her love, she will receive you at the door every night. Tip: pet her on her back near the tail. She will love!
I reccomend the place for anyone who wants to have a great stay on NYC. Especially if you are completely new to the city, like I was. Manisha and Anna will guide you and help you.
Thank you guys! I'm gonna miss you!
Manisha and Anna's apartmen is just THE BEST, it takes a while to commute midtown Manhatta, but you can even walk to Brooklyn bridge and Downton. Anyways when you spend a whole tier day walking around the city and visiting places is really nice to come back to a quiet but dinamic neighbourhood. Carrol gardes is as pretty and quiet as funny and interesting (good restaurants, shops, people...). The Apartment is really cozy and everything works perfectly, plus, from our window room we fancy the south side of Manhattan skyline, so cool!! We spend two weeks in Manisha's apartment and we soooo recommend this place. We feel really lucky to have found it.
Manisha is a friendly and kind host. I had a great time with her and the apartment is very beautiful, my room so comfortable and the kitchen and the living room really nice!! And South Brooklyn is really nice and quiet, but full of pubs, restaurants and shops! It has been a really nice experience! :)

There is a big living room nice decorated very bright and nice kitchen. The neighbourhood is nice, (many stores, restaurants, supermarkets,parks...) and safe it is well conected to Manhattan. Manisha is a great hostess she will help you in anything that you will need, she is very kind, friendly and polite. The days in her place will be for you like stay at home, so i highly recomend Manisha´s place for other visitors.
