You'd have a rare superb luxury home in London's centre of town 'Soho' which is the West End's former Red Light District flanked by China Town, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Fitzrovia, Mayfair, Regents Park, Trafalgar Square, Bloomsbury, Westminster and Camden. The street is a renowned market street in the heart of London's West End. You are in a transport GOLDEN ZONE. 5 minutes away from Piccadilly Circus & Tottenham Court Road tube stations - Oxford Circus and Leicester Square. Bus services are also fantastic. And international travel transfers are all great from here.
I love a CLEAN house and have stringent levels of preparation before guest arrival. There are always plenty of spare towels available and all bed-linens strictly 100% cotton.
Upholstery and all soft furnishings regularly cleaned, with living-room scatter cushions washed before each guest arrival. I only rent to houseproud types such as myself!
The value of a hotel verses this unhotel, offers such considerable savings that it often makes vacations possible for people who cannot afford the extortionate London rates. This huge happy home in Soho costs half the cost of a single room in a decent hotel round here :)
People are always happier than they thought they could possibly being here... location location location... it's the key
Please ask any more questions I'm happy to help
Everything in the kitchen is for guest use.
There are lots of my things on shelves that I don't think anyone wants to use :)
Plenty of books and DVD's for guests.
Interaction with Guests
I may or may not be able to meet my guests - whichever way - I like them to feel they know a little about me and somehow this works out. Usually I house fine folks who communicate their appreciation of the use of my home, by nice gestures and ensuring I return to a nice tidy home :)
Soho is THE place in London where London meets.
This street has it all, the flat is a luxury gem compared with the budget hotels you could get for the price...
You are 5 minutes walk from the Capital’s entire tube network.
But walking is what you'll do most of as everything is so close. Then I recommend buses. We do have a great system that really suit tourists :)
No smoking inside!
Clean the shower after use. there is a spray which you simply need to spray on the glass shower doors ;)
Location is very central. Good value for the money. Was very clean. As described.
We were well receive by the host, she was in a hurry but took the time to show us and explain everything we needed to know about the flat.
The flat was in conformity with the description, very well located in quiet and nice neighborhood. This flat is also very comfortable, very clean, there was enough space, enough equipment, convenient kitchen and bright living room.
The flat's location is fantastic, in the heart of Soho, just a five minute walk to any West End show. Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are "right there." The apartment is very clean, with a lived-in charm, and abundant furniture and ornamentation. Some Airbnb listings are more like short term rental properties, bought and furnished only to be rented out. Others, like Suzi's, are actual residences wherein, when not rented out, someone actually lives. The two are quite different experiences, and the distinction bears noting when choosing a listing.
When we arrived Suzi was there to greet us and show us around. She informed us they were having some network troubles, which worried us a bit. After trying unsuccessfully to rectify the problem, Suzi provided us with a cellphone to use as a wifi hotspot, a solution which worked surprisingly quite well enough. The only other issue we encountered was that the washing machine had developed a leak that Suzi had noticed while running some towels before our arrival. The ability to launder our own clothes had factored into our choosing this listing, and we had packed assuming we would be able to wash and re-wear. With the machine still not repaired a few days into our stay, Suzi had our dirty laundry and towels picked-up, sent to a laundromat, and returned to us the same day, at her own cost. All in all, our needs were met, and we enjoyed our stay at this wonderful space in the heart of London.
Muchas gracias.
This was our first Airbnb experience so we were decidedly apprehensive. Suzie was responsive at the start, but our later communication closer to our travel date went unanswered. This made us worried and we started looking for possible alternative accommodation. This was not a comfortable feeling at all especially with children in tow - we know now that Suzie was on holiday and perhaps had no internet access but it was still disconcerting.
The location of the flat was very ideal - close to all the spots we wanted to see. Good for the tube and Heathrow.
We were met by Gavin in the flat who was friendly. He had just started helping Suzie a couple of weeks before - we messaged him twice during our stay - to ask about the cold towel heating rails (he could not fix them in the end) and about there being no electricity (once we managed to contact him, he came over to top up the meter but that meant we lost a bit of sightseeing that day).
The flat is someone's home, of course. So there is a lot of furniture and belongings around understandably. Suzie loves her things - lots of it. There was a lot of furniture for the small space (in the living room which is also the kitchen & dining area and where the sofa bed was, there were 5 chairs and 3 barstools, a desk, small side table, a round dining table, a sofa, wardrobe, chests, keyboard, dryer etc.) But I had to remind myself that this was someone’s home, so Suzie has every right to keep as much stuff as she likes in it although it was a bit crowded. The beds were as described - 4 feet and 4.6 feet, so it is a bit of a squeeze. And one of the beds was uncomfortable as it caved in towards the middle. Maybe ok for one person to sleep on at a time, but not 2. The smaller bed is good for 2 children.
The bathroom was renovated but the towel rails did not heat up and the shelves were damaged and needed to be fixed, so we did not use them. We had to place our towels outside the bathroom. The dryer door was broken when we arrived so Gavin taught us how to use the butter knife placed there to open it.
The flat was clean and in a good location.

'The great secret, is not having bad manners or good manners or any other particular sort of manners, but having the same manner for all human souls: in short, behaving as if you were in Heaven, where there are no third-class carriages, and one soul is as good as another'
Helpful & considerate native Londoner who's happy to share how best to experience London.
Mid-30's female artist/writer (website hidden) on her small non-smelly, respectful dog who doesn't bark... BB... the real star of the show :)
