The Space

HEALTHY GET-AWAY IN HISTORIC SANTA FE.

Your room: In an 81-year old adobe casita in magical Santa Fe. Notice the calm grounding energy of living in an old adobe, with private, fenced/walled yards front and back. Listen to the quiet of your own body/mind without the background noises most people experience every day.

I endeavor to make your stay worth five stars all around. Please let me know how I may improve your stay while you're here.

No need to rent a car! Within 1.3 miles are the Plaza, many historic sites and museums, restaurants, The Railyard, and Farmers’ Market, natural health stores and more. Come in on the RailRunner from the Albuquerque Airport and walk here! For in-town travel, the local bus stops are just around the corner, and 2 short blocks. Two nearby bike paths. The Santa Fe River walk / bike path offers access for miles to public parks (outdoor tennis courts, basketball, baseball, pool) and historic sites galore. We recently celebrated Santa Fe’s 400th anniversary! Over 400 years of sites to explore!

Easy to Find: If you are traveling by car, the location is easy to find, while feeling remarkably quiet, when you get here.

HAPPY WINTER - SPRING! Come enjoy the magic of Santa Fe in the winter. I have hosted skiers and snowboarders, as well as those who love to walk in the wintry magic of the art and foodie scenes here. Localvores are welcome!

Healthy home: Do you love the idea of a quiet, restful, healthy “homebase” from which to explore "The City Different"? Enjoy my low-fragrance / mostly fragrance-free home for those craving a healthy get-away in historic Santa Fe. (Shampoos and such are OK, for sure! I also use essential oils in my practice.) Shared bathroom.

Amenities: Two adorable cats share our wonderful space. Some visitors say the cats are one of the favorite parts of their stay.
Limited kitchen privileges, unless we work out heavier use before hand. (Toaster oven. No microwave.) Some laundry.
Free WiFi. (No TV)
Free coffee or tea when you “land” and\or stay six nights or less. Bring you own for longer stays. Bring your breakfast fixings, or enjoy the TuneUp Cafe in the neighborhood, or The Store at Aranda's where you can get espresso, cappuccino, sandwiches, fruit and aspirin.

I just LOVE Santa Fe and am I’m happy to point you to my favorite restaurants, sites, etc.

Would you like to shop at the trendy, green businesses nearby? Tour “green” Santa Fe? I’m happy to share my passions for and knowledge of these and more.

Guest Access

You have the privacy of your own room with a locking door. I let you have "first dibs" at the bathroom and kitchen.

Interaction with Guests

I enjoy a low-to-moderate interaction with guests, and am happy to accommodate your level of interaction comfort as you indicate during our booking conversation, and after you arrive.

The Neighborhood

This neighborhood was the first "subdivision" in New Mexico, built in the early to mid-1930's. It's a diverse, transitional neighborhood of primarily single-family homes, yet just a few houses away from the historic "Camino Real" or Royal Road to Mexico City. So walking from here offers a delightful historic view.

Getting around

I have a bus schedule for you, with several bus lines within easy walking distance. The Railrunner speed train is within about 1/2 mile, so you can arrive at the Albuquerque Airport, take the shuttle to the train, get off at the last station, and walk over here.

Check out Santa Fe Pickup Shuttle (website hidden)_fe_pickup_shuttle for free shuttle service from the Train Station to key downtown stops. While it won't help you get to my house, it can help some of you get around Downtown for free.

Other Things to Note

I am a Body Cleanse Lymph Release therapist and offer a discount to guests who stay here and would like to experience that work. I am also happy to refer you to other healing modality folks, so you can create your own Health Retreat.

  • Margo has a nice place--quiet, clean, and warm. As a host, she was very thorough in explaining everything, and made sure that I had everything I need. I felt welcomed and comfortable. Recommended!

Thank you Svetlana! Many blessings on your journeys!

  • We had a great stay with Margo. It felt like staying with a good friend- She was accommodating and a very warm person, made us feel very much at home- she even made a nice fire for us Christmas morning :) Kitties are sweet and mellow, house is kept very warm in winter temps, very comfortable. I also booked a treatment with Margo and this was a positive experience as well! I recommend anyone to stay here, if you like exploring on foot, as the distance to all in the Plaza is very close, a very nice walk. I would stay here again!

  • Margo was extremely nice and very willing to provide suggestions and information. I found her slightly obtrusive, but maybe I just have a higher desire for privacy than your typical guest.

    Response from Margo:

I learned an important hosting lesson here. I have typically allowed new AirBnB guests to finish filling in their profile after they've been verified and have some kind of profile. In Joan's case, even tho' she had "finished" filling in her profile by the time she arrived. I just didn't have the full "trust" factor when she arrived. I DID feel uneasy, and so was trying to ask a little more to help me feel more at ease. Obviously it didn't work really well for her, either - since she called me "slightly obtrusive." So I appreciate that she DOES seem to have a "higher desire for privacy than your typical guest." I would thoroughly agree with her self-assessment. We both found that out on her first AirBnB experience.

  • Margo was a wonderful hostess with a generous spirit. I felt extremely welcome and comfortable. The location is very good - a perfect walk to the center of town with several fun retail and cafe stops along the way. It is an intimate arrangement as Margo does her body work in the space directly as you enter the house; the bedrooms are next to each other; and a shared bathroom, which isn't unusual. I felt very comfortable in the kitchen - though all I made for myself was tea, but Margo was totally at ease having me in it. The room I stayed in had a very comfortable queen-sized bed, good lighting, a clock next to the bed, a closet and space for me to spread out my personal belongings. A good find!

  • I had a great stay at this healthy getaway. I felt very comfortable with the accommodations. Margo is a fantastic host. She has created a very warm and relaxed environment to come back to after a busy day at the galleries.
I look forward to my next trip to Santa Fe and would stay with her again!

  • I admit I was a little concerned as I have never used airbnb.
Boy, was I in for a treat. Margo made me feel right at home and her cats were just so amazingly cute. Turns out Margo does lymph message and I tried it for the very first time. She was amazing. I am so glad I found her. Will stay with her every time I go to Santa Fe.
    She is wonderful.

About
Eclectic lover of healthy bodies, businesses, and bioregions - and spirituality made manifest. Movies: What the Bleep Do We Know? Foods: New Mexican foods - particularly GREEN CHILE! I welcome those who eat healthy foods without judgment - you can be a vegetarian or vegan, or have a paleo diet. The only diet I can think of that wouldn't fit would be Kosher, since I don't have a Kosher kitchen. Wabisabi is my style: appreciating the old, the imperfect that shows us the artful & beautiful in life. Think "Adobe Wabisabi" style. Diversities of friends, ideas that share the appreciation what IS in gratitude. I feel blessed to have so many people in my life who are multi-faceted... with multiple, and diverse talents, interests and abilities. I appreciate the magic of meeting those who show up here.
