Great location, and a perfect spot for a large crowd. We had a family wedding to attend and this was a great home base for the 6 of us.

This apartment was a truly great value, with three bedrooms for less than many two bedrooms. The location was really nice, walking distance to Princes Street and Old Town/the Royal Mile. I didn't have a good picture of the geography before going but it turned out to be a great area, with a nice selection of restaurants nearby as well as a Tesco Express (smallish but adequate supermarket). The refrigerator is small, so might be a problem for larger groups who want to cook, but it was fine for us. Otherwise, the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the towels nice and big. The main negative was an unpleasant smell in the building (old building? drain problem?) but you couldn't smell it in the apartment. The kitchen also had a smell which I was told might be a drain problem, but fortunately it was reduced to a manageable degree by keeping the fan on. I admit I'm sensitive to odors but everyone in our group did note it. Overall, though, a very nice experience. We loved Edinburgh and were happy to return to our flat at the end of a day out and about.

Adrian's flat is in a great location in walking distance of all the main attractions. It has everything you need for a home-from-home experience. There's a nice pub at the bottom of the road, The Barony, and a Tesco nearby. Artisan Roastery is a lovely cafe and Nom de Plume is a lovely restaurant with great food, reasonably priced in a lovely, homely setting, plus great beers. If you're not breakfasting in the flat, Jenners second floor does a reasonably priced breakfast (£5.95 for full Scottish) with views of the castle, Princes St Gardens and the Scott Monument.

Response from Adrian:
Thanks Jennifer; sorry mine was so short - was on a train with ropey reception and about to pull into the station! Glad you had a great time and hope to see you again. :) Adrian

Adrian's apartment is in a perfect little corner of Edinburgh in New Town. Short walk up to Calton Hill which is worth a look! Great little cafes and shops around the apartment and it's a short walk up to Princess street. We were met by a lovely lady who showed us around. We were a large group with 2 kids and 5 adults and the space was enough for us to be comfortable! Thanks so much.

Response from Adrian:
Hi Avril. Many thanks for the feedback. In fact the same thing happened last week and we replaced a few bulbs so clearly there is an issue with the electrics. I have asked an electrician to come and look into it but I thought it was only a problem in the kitchen? Anyway I hope this didn't spoil your stay too much and that you had a fab time at the festival! Kind regards Adrian
