Our light and bright open plan one bedroom apartment features a kitchen nook, small bathroom with shower and toilet located off the bedroom, reverse cycle air-conditioning, computer, 1 queen bed, closet, flat screen 41 inch wall mounted TV. Movies loaded on the TV for you.

The cosy apartment is 49 sqm and ideally suited for singles, couples and young families.
We provide you with fresh towels and linen as well as tea and coffee supplies. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, plates, rice cooker, cooking utensils, oven, kettle, toaster, stove and a small fridge. There is free wifi internet for you to use and the computer also has an internet connection. There are a couple of other items such as a hair dryer and iron for your convenience. As well as a few surprises!
The apartment looks out to the City of Perth of which you can enjoy the sunrise whilst having breakfast on your very own balcony! French doors open onto the balcony from both the living room and bedroom.
Our apartment and complex is safe and secure, albeit it is an older historical building, however, clean and well presented. There is a Laundromat on site with a washer and dryer (at your cost), but with the abundance of sunny warm days in Perth you can use the iconic hills hoist washing lines to dry your clothes and this is certainly free. The complex does have a lift as well as stairs to the apartment.

LOCATION - WEST PERTH
West Perth is a fantastic base and whether you plan to hire a car or use public transport we believe that you will be able to explore the city and neighbourhoods quite easily.
West Perth is known more as a business district however our apartment is located on the border of the CBD, steps away from St Georges Terrace. In fact, the apartment sits in a wonderful little pocket between the iconic Kings Park Botanical Gardens and the Perth CBD, really the best of both worlds – the city and natural green surroundings.
Kings Park and Botanical Gardens offers stunning views and is the perfect spot to watch the sun rise. As a visitor to the city, there is a lot to do and see at Kings Park from picnicking at one of the many viewing vantage points, firing up a BBQ to wining and dining at Frasers Restaurant. There are many walking trails throughout the gardens and an abundance of flora and fauna.
There are over 80 species of birds that live in the 400 hectare Kings Park.
CLOSE TO THE CITY CENTRE/PERTH CBD
The apartment is walking distance to the Perth CBD and shopping mall precinct. This is very handy as parking in the city can be rather expensive and you can leave your car behind and simply stroll into the city.

Take advantage of Perth’s sunny disposition and visit the rooftop movies or an outdoor concert in Kings Park. Taste free chocolate at the Margaret River Chocolate shop, try a Kangaroo burger from Jus Burgers, shop till late in the city on a Friday night or check out the Farmers Markets on Sunday morning. Wander through the State Museum or see a show at His Majesty’s Theatre, Australia’s only Edwardian building. Enjoy a Jazz session at The Laneway Lounge. Try a free Saturday coffee cupping session at Gordon Street Garage. Do some outlet brand shopping at Water Town, a chance to buy Australian products such as the 100% Australian wool quilt from Sheridan Bedding. Visit the Northbridge Brewery for a cold pint of beer. FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT SCENE IN TOWN
The apartment is located near to 5 entertainment hubs. There are always options in the way of food and drinks.
Around the corner is a nice Chinese Restaurant, Straits Cafe and Restaurant, The luxury Terrace Hotel, Bishops House, The George Bar and Restaurant, Frasers Restaurant in Kings Park, Gordon Street Garage Cafe (our favourite place for coffee and breakfast) and Matsuri Japanese. Stables Bar tucked away in a laneway is great for drinks or a meal during the week.
Water Town for brand outlet is a short walk and open until 9pm on Fridays.
Down the road there are a few cafes for breakfast and lunch.
There are a number of cafes on St Georges Terrace open for breakfast and lunch.There are some high end restaurants and bars in the city as well as pubs, a revolving restaurant in a skyscraper and rooftop bars. Shafto Lane (off Hay Street) has cheap Japanese and an Irish pub that serve up a great Beef Guinness pie. The food courts are open to 5pm in the mall. Friday nights the city is alive and bustling with the mall open until 9pm. King Street, Milligan Street and Murray Street have a number of food and drink options.
Nearby fast food outlets Hungry Jacks, KFC, MacDonalds (24 hour), Nandos and Subway.
Northbridge (20 min walk) is open till late. A mix of European and Chinese influences, the area has many dining options from restaurants to food courts which are great for the budget traveler. Weeknights are the best time to visit as it is not too busy however if you are unfazed by the night clubbers then the weekends are just as good. Chinatown is located in Northbridge. On a Sunday Yum Cha lovers come to the area at around noon joining lines of people waiting to enter the popular eateries.
Subiaco (30 minute walk or train to Subiaco Station) has more of a village atmosphere. There are a number of casual dining restaurants - French bistro, Indian, Italian, Modern Australian, Thai, Steakhouse, all you can eat meat restaurant, Japanese, noodles and burgers. Subiaco is the place to go for ice cream from either Gelares, Baskin and Robbins or San Churros. There are a number of early morning cafes and bakeries along Rokeby Road. The Farmers Markets and Station Street fruit and vegetable markets open on weekends, a great spot to sample local produce.
Farmer Jacks Supermarket located in Subiaco is open until 10pm every night of the week.

The apartment is within the Free Transit Zone of Perth.
A Bus stop including the Free Green Cat shuttle bus is a short walk from the apartment.
Perth Esplanade Train and Bus station, under 15 minutes away. Perth main train station, under 15 minutes.

The Transperth airport bus 37 service runs past the apartment on a daily basis.
YOU HAVE A CAR
Driving can be a convenient option particularly if you wish to fit in a couple of day trips out of the city. One of the best things we consider about the location of our city apartment is the easy access to the freeway and the main hubs around town. In all directions you have eateries, bars and shopping. You can be a little spontaneous with your travels knowing you do not have to travel too far to reach the city places. The beach is not too far at all by car, very easy to reach.
DAY TRIP SUGGESTIONS
Whether you have a car or are using transport we recommend the following day trips.
Explore the coast and enjoy the stunning beaches. Stop by the popular Cottesloe Beach for breakfast, lunch or dinner. City Beach offers a quieter atmosphere.
Visit the port town of Fremantle and the fishing boat harbour as well as Little Creatures Brewery.
The Swan Valley is home to wineries, breweries, cafes, restaurants, a cheese cafe, and even a coffee tasting cafe. Only 25 minutes from the apartment.
Araluen Botanic Park in the hills of Perth has an unofficial Tulip festival set in a native Australia backdrop during August/September. Beautiful park for picnics.
Grab breakfast and coffee from a neighbourhood cafe. A few we can personally recommend - Choux Cafe (French style) in Swanborne, Fortysevenkirwan in Floreat, John Street Cafe in Cottesloe and Little Stove in Bicton.
Visit Hillarys Aquarium which houses Australia's largest aquarium and one of the largest coral systems in the world. See a shark safely behind glass or if you are game swim with it.
Visit the country town Pemberton, a natural setting of tall karri trees. On the way pass by quaint little towns of Manjimup, Donnybrook, Nannup and Bridgetown. Visit a cidery, orchard, winery, cheese factory, chestnut farm or trufferie. Go for a swim at the natural Fonty's Pool.
Visit one of the first towns settled in W.A, Guildford (30 minutes from Perth). Explore the antique shops along James Street and perhaps have breakfast or lunch at one of the small cafes. The Little Guildford make yummy buttermilk pancakes and a great espresso. Alfred's Kitchen serve no fuss simple burgers, sit by the fire pit at night.
MARGARET RIVER ( take a trip down south)
Some of our guests stop at our apartment for a few nights before continuing on down to the Margaret River region. Due to the location of this apartment, guests can see much of the city in a couple of days quite easily. Our apartment is situated near the freeway that goes to the south west.
There is bicycle parking if you wish to hire a bicycle. Great for getting around the city.
There is a bicycle hire place at the other end of the city on the banks of the Swan River. They accept bookings online and can even deliver the bicycle to the apartment (subject to availability). There are dedicated bicycle paths through the city, Kings Park and along the river. If you would like some suggestions on bike rides around the place, please feel free to drop us a line.
Other Things to Note
We have an inflatable queen mattress that can be set up in the living area for a 3rd and 4th guest. Extra bedding and linen is included in the surcharge. It might be a tight squeeze but we are happy to arrange and discuss.

The complex does have long term residents so naturally we ask that you respect the common areas and restrict noise after 10.30 pm.
The apartment is small and for this we say there is to be no extra guests in the apartment other than those confirmed in the reservation please.
General house rules for the complex apply to each and every guest.
The apartment is strictly non-smoking and no drugs. No parties or gatherings. No excessive alcohol. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during the stay.
The apartment is not to be used for business purposes.
No pets allowed.
Children in the complex must be supervised at all times.
Please do not excessively download media using the wireless internet connection.
Please leave the apartment in a tidy condition when you depart

The fact that their are 125 reviews of this place and all are positive just about says it all. The studio is not huge but large enough, and as all previous reviewers have stated Leanne and Derek have put a lot of thought into getting this right.
From Day 1 communication was great, and the very detailed information provided proved extremely useful. The position really could not be better, close to the city, Kings Park, Subiaco and Northbridge to name but a few.
Apartment is well equipped, down to the backpack for picnics and the recommendations on what to do and where to eat nailed it (and highly recommend the George St Garage for breakfast/lunch).
Can only agree with other reviewers, highly recommended.

Perth is our home town and we love our city. Leanne works part time as an executive assistant in Subiaco and Derek is a freelance web and graphic designer.
What do we love about Perth? There is a lot of space, great coffee around town, sunset dinners at the beach, BBQ's, fresh local produce (we love to cook), cycling paths along the river and the South West region. The beach is never far and it is just the best place to unwind and relax.
Our first experience with airbnb was in 2011, we stayed at two airbnb host homes in Paris and Berlin and what an experience it was! It is the perfect way to really discover a city and blend in with the locals. We absolutely love to travel and experience new cultures.
