The hotel was as shown in the photos, but is much farther away from the city as expected. It's about a 25 min walk from the duomo. It was also next to the rail station so you can hear trains passing by quite often. Also we were not informed that there would be a city tax before hand and had to pay on the spot upon arrival. It was okay for one night but for more than that being closer in the city would be better. The surrounding area was also not the best, so walking around alone past sundown would have been scary as a female.

The accommodation was easy to find, the bus is at the end of the street. Paolo and his staff were most helpful and made us feel welcome. Our room was comfortable but a good reading lamp would be appreciated. At night the window needed to be closed as there was some noise from trains. In our bathroom the shower recess needed maintenance but there was no lack of hot water.

The room was clean. The location was good. They helped us reserve for the Uffizi and the Academia so all we had to do was walk to the museums and pay for the tickets (no lines!!). We loved that they provided a map and marked directions and locations of places to visit and which buses to take if we wanted to use public transit. We saw they also rent bikes - we did not rent the bikes, but we appreciated the option! The room is next to the train. We could not hear the trains with the window closed. There is A/C so we kept the windows closed for most our stay. The bathroom is private with hot water and good water pressure. The room was cleaned every day!

A great place at a great location. Just 10 minutes walk to Santa Maria Novella. Our room was spacious, very comfortable with a very nice big bathroom and perfectly clean. Paolo was a very friendly host, we could keep in touch via Airbnb message board and he was just on time to open his place when we arrived it was no problem that we arrived an hour later than announced. He even recommended a very nice little restaurant close to the B&B, gave advice on the bus lines to take to come back, in short it was a nice experience to stay at Abatjour B&B, thank you Paolo!
