Apartment - Private room · Grandstand Parade, Zetland, NSW 2017, Australia

If you're finding accom in Sydney expensive or hard to find at Easter then please contact me. Lovely queen room in modern apart or the entire apartment available (another queen room). Centrally located in Zetland, half way between city & airport.

The Space

The Space
Suitable for either a single person or a couple, the apartment is situated in Zetland, close to Sydney’s domestic and international airports plus Green Square and Central Stations.
Located one floor above ground level, the apartment has 2 bedrooms (one is mine). You'll have a queen room in a modern, comfortable apartment. A galley kitchen; washer, dryer plus a gas BBQ on spacious balcony, WiFi, cable tv and a visitor car space available.
Buses are 2 mins walk going to and from the city plus Coogee beach is 20 mins by bus. Do the Coogee to Bondi walk to really see the eastern coastline. Buses takes you right into CBD and terminates at Circular Quay. All Ferries located there. Taronga Zoo and Manly Beach are on the north shore and easily reached by ferry. Taxis are reasonably priced and can be pre-booked.
Once here, I recommend you buy a 7 Day Travelpass, price varies depending on how long you’re here for and where you want to go. For example, a previous guest paid $53 for unlimited bus, trains and ferries and got full value within 3 days, meaning every day after that was free. Most buses don’t take cash anymore so prepaid tickets are best, I can easily organise this for you.
Nearby suburbs of Rosebery, Randwick, Kensington, Alexandria, Waterloo, Surry Hills, Paddington and Darlinghurst. Really cool cafes and restaurants close by. A short bus ride to UNSW campus. If you're going to a concert or game out at Homebush then train is easy from my place. Sydney puts on extra trains for large events and its well organised.
You can walk 15 mins from my place to Danks St for Coles and Aldi supermarkets. I have a collection of local guides of bars, restaurants and cafes to keep you busy. There's Thai, Italian, local cafes, bottle store and mini markets within the immediate Zetland precinct and plenty of other places who will deliver to the apartment if you can’t be bothered going out. The Blue Mountains are about 1 1/2 hours’ drive or go by train. I suggest you're up and away early to maximise your day there. Safe travels … see you in Sydney.

  • Karen was a very friendly and helpful host. Even there was a pick up service included from the airport to the very close home of Karen ! My room, the whole appartment was always clean and the kitchen and also the bathroom was always available. Karen gave me advice and if necessary drove me to the locations i needed to go. The appartment was at anytime open. I appreciated the kindness and lovely support from Karen.

About
I am a direct, outgoing and friendly person. I have an enthusiasm for people and travel. I like to drink lovely wine, eat great food and try new foodie things. I am happy spending time with my friends and can be found at my local cafe drinking good coffee catching up with people. My friends and family visit regularly from New Zealand and can testify that I am a great shopper and tour guide when and as required. I have a career in media and business consultancy, I love most types of music, old and classic movies and books that I can get lost in. Some of my best life experiences have been in Africa and Europe. For me, I believe that being authentic and having respect for oneself and others are important to help get you through life.
