This is a lovely apartment in rustic-chic style. It is located very close (2-minute walk) to the best surf spot in the beautiful and lush beach of Santa Teresa.
The apartment has one bedroom (equipped with A/C) with a double bed, plus two twin size sofa-beds in the living room.
It also has a small kitchen integrated to the living room area, and a bathroom.
The apartment has a porch with a hammock.
The apartment occupies the first floor of one of the three houses that make up Griss Lodge.
The hotel has a lovely garden, swimming pool and jacuzzi, as well as a barbecue area.
This area has hammocks placed in shaded spots, perfect for relaxation.
We also offer you room cleaning service, linens and towels.
Santa Teresa is a perfect beach for surfers and people who love nature. We have our own surf school and can offer you surf lessons and rental boards.
Once here, we will be more than happy to help you organize many other activities in the area.
We can arrange special packages for long stay. Feel free to ask us about it. :)
My husband & I had the pleasure to spend 4 nights at Griss Surf House & would have loved to stay longer. The property is beautifully set up and very secure.
I highly recommend the surf lessons. We were both newbies and took two. Ricky was awesome & prioritized our safety while keeping it a fun experience!
We're talking about spending 3 weeks here next year and would definitely recommend this place. It's directly across the street from the beach & the people are awesome!
GRISS's place is about 5 hours driving from Liberia's airport but so worth the travel (be shure to have a GPS). Santa Teresa is a wonderfull place to surf and enjoy the 'Pura Vida'!
Ric is an amazing host who is always available to answer your questions or for recommandations (restaurent, activities, ...)
The place is well equiped and very clean. Walk distance to the beach (there's a small entry directly in the front of GRISS's which leads you the beach that is SOOOO AMAZING! We've been travelling a lot and let me say that this beach is THE beach you have to see in a life time. Just make shure not to bring your values with you ;)
Even is they say that it's the rainny season (August), the sun was present every day until 5PM.
At GRISS's, you can enjoy a pool, a jaccuzi, surf lessons, small terrasse to eat outside near the pool area or you can simply on the balconny of the appartment wich is equip with a hamac and chair.
If you go to Santa Teresa, make shure to eat at 'Playa del Mar' (italian restaurent), 'El Chille Viola' (and say Hi to Luz for me) and take a lunch at Zwart (and order the burrito).
Finaly, groceries ans bank are a small distance in car.
** To find GRISS's place, when you enter in Santa Teresa, turn right and drive straith till you see a grocery store name 'Super Rony 2'. Then, continue ... and the destination will be on your right.
Once more, thanks to Ric for our wonderful stay. We will come back for shure.
We stayed at Griss house for almost two weeks with our 2 year old twins and the whole experience was amazing. They have bikes that you can use, a grilling area for any fresh fish that you may catch (or they will call the fish guy for you!) a nice pool, and they are close to the beach. It was a perfect vacation and I would highly recommend them.
Great property, beautifully done!
Very nice hosts, I had a great stay at Griss lodge, everything was clean and well furnished, with a locely rustic chic style decoration.
Really nice chilled out vibe at this lodge. They have about 6 little apartments as well as a decent pool area. There is a nice family feel to the place and we really enjoyed it. About 1 minute to the beach. Ricardo is a really good surf instructor.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Griss lodges. The location is great in front of a good surf break and the property has nice amenities on it such as the pool, BBQ, and multiple hammocks to relax in along with a ping pong table. We were able to rent surfboards here and get the intel on the best restaurants and spots in Santa Teresa. Ricky and Simona were great hosts! Highly recommended.
Not sure why the owners advertise A/C for the bedroom for House 2 on their website, as this isn't the case (other units have it, though). When questioning this, the staff had little sympathy or care about the "error" - which could matter to some, as the bedroom is upstairs and collects much heat. Not the end of the world, but this did leave a slightly negative impression. Just be aware of this if it matters to you.
Also, the small house labeled "Reception" by the entrance apparently isn't used (instead, staff were sitting by the bar) -- wish I didn't wait a half an hour to figure that out.
Otherwise, the staff seemed relatively friendly and the unit was nice (albeit not *quite* as nice as the pictures make it out to be). There was some construction on other units going on during the day at the time, though, just FYI.
The cabinas are beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Our cabina was kitted out with everything we needed for cooking all meals. Very comfy and difficult to leave. Santa Teresa is a beautiful long stretch of beach and great surf spot just a minute walk away... Perfect!
