This is a large one bedroom/ one bath private apartment with a Queen sized four-post bed in the bedroom and a Full sized futon in the living room. There is a washer/ dryer in the apartment, A/C in the bedroom, 1 parking space and ample street parking. The front porch is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and read a book. This apartment can sleep 4, but it might be a bit crowded feeling for longer stays, especially with children. Two couples would be comfortable, but again, there's only one bathroom.
The apartment is very centrally located between the 5/ 134/ 2 freeways, and is about 10 minutes from Hollywood, Downtown, Pasadena. The valley is very easy to get to, and depending on the time of day, the beach is about 25-30 minutes by car.
The neighborhood is very walkable with a Ralph's grocery store just a block away, a pair of lovely sandwich shops also a block away, and all of downtown Glendale a 10-minute walk away, with bars, restaurants and cinemas.
As for public transportation, there's a bus line nearby, but it's LA-- I'd recommend a car for sure! Public transportation in LA can be very frustrating in general.
I am away working in the Yukon Territory in Canada, but my brother lives next door and can help you with anything you might need. The apartment is always professionally cleaned between guests, and because of cleaning costs, I require a 2 night minimum stay. There is fresh bedding, lots of towels, full kitchen fully stocked with all types of cooking stuff!
I hope you have a lovely stay!!
Guests will be able to access the apartment by retrieving the key from a key safe behind the unit.
I am rarely in LA, but I'm always accessible by cell phone or email.
No Smoking in the house, on the porch is fine. Please be respectful of my upstairs neighbor (who is very quiet) by being quiet in the house, especially after 10 pm. The parking spot in back is the one on the far right. It is communal, but can be used. If it's not available, please use street parking. Contact me with any questions you might have. Please throw away any food you may have left over in the fridge upon check out.
This was my third stay in Sean's apt and everything was easy and as described. They new shower head rocks.
I recently moved to LA from Canada and stayed at Sean's pad in Glendale while I looked for a more permanent home. Sean is very accessible and his place had everything I needed to have a fantastic and smooth transition to the area, much bigger than it looks in the photos and very clean, comfortable and restful, as well as super convenient for great shopping and groceries too! Awesome wifi and amazing mountain views in the area - Thanks Sean!
Sean's home in Glendale is just as described -- charming and spacious. It's also very quaint and well designed with books and interesting pieces of art. The small porch out front is perfect for getting some sun, and street parking is always an easy option. The neighborhood, in addition, is incredibly safe and well positioned near supermarkets (a Ralphs and Trader Joe), services, and the freeway.
I spent a couple of weeks in this beautiful home alongside my parents. The key swap was convenient, and Sean was incredibly flexible regarding a few changes we had to make last minute. He was also very communicative and on top of whatever we needed -- from our initial inquiry through to our last day.
If I'm in Glendale again I'll definitely try and stay here!
Sean was a great host, making everything as easy and clear as possible. He's also a fantastic communicator, always available regardless of where in the world he happens to physically be!
His cozy and stylish apartment sits on a quiet street in Glendale, boasting a small porch and lots of street parking. It's close to freeways, shopping, and restaurants. The interior is pleasantly quaint, the futon comfortable and everything just as described.
If available I would definitely stay again!
This was my second stay at Seans apartment in Glendale and I enjoyed it very much. I can recommend Sean as a very nice host and his apartment as a good place to stay if you looking for a quite comfortable stay in the Glendale area. Thank you Sean. I'll come back again!
Sean's place was great. My boyfriend and I stayed in Glendale for a long Labor Day weekend because he was a groomsman in a friend's wedding. It was in a great location, only 1.5 miles from the motel everyone else stayed at for much cheaper. It was nice to be able to come back to somewhere that felt like home. It was clean and looked just as described. The futon in the living was great for our last night there, some friends came out with us for the night and didn't want to drive back home. I would definitely stay here again.
Sean's place was awesome. Great location! He was super communicative and we had a great stay. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Sean!
I'm from New York originally, but have been in LA for about 10 years. I work in film/TV, for Discovery channel. I'm a writer/ musician, and I love taking jobs that let me travel, so I understand the life of the traveler! I hope you find my place comfortable!!
