My house is in a quiet cul-de-sac and is within easy reach of the centre of Dublin and the coastline. Also, for the weary traveller, it's only 20 minutes by bus from Dublin airport. So drop by! :)
"Bon soir" or as we say in Ireland "Bone Sewer". I have a large double room to offer in my house in Beaumont, Dublin. You will have exclusive use of your own bathroom which has a shower and a full sized bath.
It's only 20 mins from Dublin Airport and is close to Beaumont hospital, Airways Industrial estate and the M50 motorway if you want to head north/south by car. There's wifi, tv, laundry facilities and a big spongy leather settee to lounge on! My house is only 20 mins by #14 or #16 bus from the city centre. It has a fully equipped large modern kitchen/dining area.
I have a good sound system and vinyl records. You young 'uns probably don't remember vinyl!! As a native of Dublin I can tell you all the places to go and see. I recently also discovered the #104 bus passes nearby and that will take you in only 20 mins to the gorgeous Dollymount beach which is about 5 miles long but probably a bit too cold to swim in - this is Ireland after all :) From there you can take the dart train out to Howth which is a really cool fishing village for a nice day out and a cliff-walk by the sea which will blow away the cobwebs!
Their own bathroom+shower, wifi, kitchen, living-room, back-garden and all the usual mod-cons

Being a Dubliner myself I'd be delighted to point you in the right direction about what to see and do in our fair city.
It's very quiet and only a short-distance to the centre of Dublin.
Yes. There's several regular bus services nearby and they can get you into the city-centre in 20mins(traffic permitting)
Just keep the noise down at night and turn off any unused lights/electrical appliance when they're not in use. Clean up the kitchen if/when you finish cooking and everything will be hunky-dory.
Located in Beaumont Woods in a quiet and peaceful region, the place was easy to find and James being a wonderful host and guide was always there to help with any query I had.
It is a quite relaxed area with no rush of the city, the house was practically mine most of the time and James was nice enough to allow me access to not only the kitchen but his TV area as well.
Good collection of movies and music is available. The area also hosts the old house of the family that brewed the famous Guinness beer and the Beaumont pub which is about a km walk from this place is a great spot to learn about the history of the place once you get talking to the locals.
Assuming you will spend most of the day outside in the city this place is well connected by the 14 and 16 no buses and quite close to the airport as well.
Just remember the three pillars as a landmark and it is easy to locate. I just wish I had the time to see one of his shows.
I strongly recommend to stay at Chateau de Jimmy in Beaumont Woods. First of all his house is spacious enough so you can feel like you are in your own place. The place is located in a very nice convinient area, close to the city center (only 15 minutes by the bus). Jimmy was very helpful by providing information about Dublin. Great host!
oh , I definitely recommend you to stay over into James's house . quite neighborhood , easy to get in the city center by bus , clean house . and James is a great host , we went one night having some beers ,and he made very good recommendation about the places to visit in Dublin or outside the city . Enjoy !!! regards James !
James was a welcoming host for a friend of mine for whom I booked the room. I would definitely book Chateau de Jimmy again.
James is an amazing host. Very welcoming and I felt right at home in his lovely house. The room, bathroom and house was spotlessly clean and added bonus he has an awesome sound system, cool music collection. And the comfiest couch ever!!
The location was great, close to the city and an easy walk to the bus. James gave me loads of amazing travel tips for both Dublin and my onward journey, including the beautiful Powerscourt waterfall.
I would highly recommend staying at James place, he even remembered how I had my tea and spoilt me with orange juice and breaky.
James, Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in Dublin :)
My boyfriend an I had a wonderfull time at James place ! The bed is really confortable, the room is really nice and we had the use of the bathroom to ourselves. Moreover being. In te close suburbs of Dublin (20minutes away by bus) gives you the feeling of being a local. But more importatly James is really a nice host, he indicated us pubs to go on our map, places to visit and even helped us out deciding if we were going to cork or Galway :). Would definitely stay there again if we come back to Dublin and I recommend it tremendously.
Absolutely loved my stay here! James was a very helpful and generous host, providing me with all the information needed to navigate the city and plan day trips. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a charming view of the neighborhood outside. He was very kind in making sure I was comfortable there. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and would definitely come back to stay here the next time I'm in Dublin!
