About this listing

My house is in a quiet cul-de-sac and is within easy reach of the centre of Dublin and the coastline. Also, for the weary traveller, it's only 20 minutes by bus from Dublin airport. So drop by! :) Please note the check-in and check-out times.

The space

"Bon soir" or as we say in Ireland "Bone Sewer". I have a large double room to offer in my house in Beaumont, Dublin. You will have exclusive use of your own bathroom which has a shower and a full sized bath.

It's only 20 mins from Dublin Airport and is close to Beaumont hospital, Airways Industrial estate and the M50 motorway if you want to head north/south by car. There's wifi, tv, laundry facilities and a big spongy leather settee to lounge on! My house is only 20 mins by #14 or #16 bus from the city centre. It has a fully equipped large modern kitchen/dining area.

I have a good sound system and vinyl records. You young 'uns probably don't remember vinyl!! As a native of Dublin I can tell you all the places to go and see. I recently also discovered the #104 bus passes nearby and that will take you in only 20 mins to the gorgeous Dollymount beach which is about 5 miles long but probably a bit too cold to swim in - this is Ireland after all :) From there you can take the dart train out to Howth which is a really cool fishing village for a nice day out and a cliff-walk by the sea which will blow away the cobwebs!

Guest access

Their own bathroom+shower, wifi, kitchen, living-room, back-garden and all the usual mod-cons

Interaction with guests

Being a Dubliner myself I'd be delighted to point you in the right direction about what to see and do in our fair city.

The host, James, was fantastic and helpful from our arrival until we left. The place had everything we needed and the bedroom was comfortable and tidy. The nearby bus route gets you to the city easily and inexpensively. James was always great about how to get everywhere, gave suggestions on great places to go in the city and gave us a tip about getting to Howth, which we didn't expect to do but was one of our favorite parts of our time there. James was really sociable if you wanted to chat and gave you space if you were in the place and wanted to be on your own. Thanks for the great stay

Great place to stay with a great host! James was really helpful and interested in my plans for my stay in Dublin and provided clear instructions and tips for getting around and things to see. It was nice having my own private bathroom and James was easy to talk to!

James is a realy nice and helpful guy. We stayed in his house for 3 nights. The room was very nice and the house is closed to the city centre. So we absolutely recommend to stay in his home. Thank you;)

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. James was very accommodating. I Highly recommend this Airbnb. Truly amazing host. Saw James in dublin city center. We went for a walk around the city and showed me around. Always helpful with sightseeing ideas or helping with ordering a taxi. Always friendly and offering coffee and tea. Any help I needed James was always willing to help me out. Definitely will stay at James on my next return.

The first two nights were really cold because the radiator wasn't working properly. James fixed it so the next three nights were okay. James always checked in on us when returning home and also booked us taxis whenever needed and gave us some advise on what to visit. He even offered us tee/coffee and toast for breakfast. The bed is a king size bed, not a double bed with one big blanket (extra blanket available). The way to the city center was longer than expected. 10-15 min to the bus station by foot and 25-40 min to the city center by bus. The nearest supermarket is 15-20 min away by foot. James gave us leap cards (for transportation) so we did not have to organize them ourselves :)
