You cannot take public transport to VIEILLE VILLE (OLD TOWN) because it is so close by, where shops lead you to the Place Massena square into the Old Town of Nice in minutes. The streets are packed with shops, small restaurants, food, meat produce, clothes, gifts and the rest.

The Nice / Central Nice area
Here are some suggestions for what you might do on your Nice holiday on the French Rivera when staying in our holiday apartment. The Promenade des Anglais gives spectacular views out to the Mediterranean all along the "Bay of Angels". This 3 mile long pebble beach is the focal point in Nice, with Place Massena being a close second, both are close to our holiday rental apartment. The Old Town or "Vieux Ville" is a short walk away. There is so much to do and see in the narrow streets of Old Nice and there are a great number of bars and restaurants in this area.
The FLOWER MARKET in Old Nice offers fresh fruits, vegetables, preserves and flowers of the Provence and Nice. Operating on a daily basis, just adjacent to the Promenade des Anglais and Opera House. In the late afternoon it transforms into open air fish and Nicois restaurants.
THE OLD CHATEAU IN NICE is a huge rocky outcrop overlooking the whole of Nice. The Old Chateau is adjacent to the Nice Flower Market. The remains of an Old Chateau and Monastery rest at the top of a high rock out-crop which gives panoramic views of Nice and the Riviera coast.

It was a great experience in this airbnb. The pictures are exactly what is pictures and Elena does a magnificent job of making sure each person has a great stay. I flew a day late because of the French aircraft strikes, and she was still very welcoming! The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is very big, the bathroom is nice, plus the wifi works very good. The location couldn't be much better as well, very walkable distances to everywhere in the city. Thumbs up and I would go again.
We stayed in Elena's appartment for 5 days, and it just perfectly fitted our needs. Very nicely decorated, clean and in a perfectly central location. I strongly recommend the appartment!
Apartment was exactly as described. Three blocks to Place Massena, the tram stop, and La Promenade du Paillon (the long green space that runs through the city). Elena kept in touch throughout the stay and provided helpful tips and answered questions before, during, and after the stay. Strongly recommended.
Elena's apartment is exactly as described on Airbnb. It's cosy and charming, and we were surprised at how fully equipped it is considering it's a studio. It's the first time that I've seen soap, body wash and shampoo provided by an Airbnb host which is fantastic. One big reason we chose Elena's apartment is because it's on the ground floor which meant we only had to go up a few small steps leading to the building entrance (we were traveling with 3 bulky luggages). The flip side was that we had to keep the wooden blinds closed the whole time for privacy since passers-by could otherwise easily see into the apartment. This meant we had a lot less natural sunlight than we would had we kept the wooden blinds open as shown in the photos.
As Elena was not in town, there was a bit of a issue with check in since it was done by a neighbor who was very nice but did not explain anything about the apartment to us. Therefore, we had to trouble Elena when we couldn't get the electric stove to work or when we couldn't find the rubbish disposal area in the building. Luckily, Elena always responded extremely quickly (usually within 15 minutes) to our messages. She was also very helpful to provide us with the contact info of the taxi company when we asked for her assistance.
The location is very central, just a few minutes walk to the old town and promenade. If you're looking for a nice cosy place to stay on a short getaway to Nice, Elena's apartment is certainly ideal.
Many thanks Henry for such the detailed review. I am very glad that in general you were happy with your stay in my studio. I'm sorry that the absence of heavy curtains on the windows brought you discomfort. I had not thought about it before because none of my previous guests informed me of the existence of such a problem.
I made everything to the apartment was even more sun.
I'm glad to have you as my guests again! Thanks again and all the best!
The apartment was exactly as photographed (even improved; e.g. the aircon was upgraded to a fixed unit instead of the free-standing unit shown in the pictures).
Communication with Elena was excellent throughout (and before) our stay; we were never waiting long for a response to our emails etc.
The apartment was very clean and well kept, location was excellent, WIFI was reliable and fast, apartment was secure, and even though it is a ground floor apartment we did not hear any street noise as the apartment building is set 10m back from the road and shielded by trees and bushes.
