The space

The beds in this listing are arranged as follows:

We have just upgraded all of the mattresses in our main building to high end, top-of-the-line luxury hotel mattresses. We now have King Koil 1400 Club Pocket with pillow top mattresses -- they are an absolute dream to sleep on!

This contemporary styled apartment can comfortably sleep six people and yet can accommodate up to ten and is situated just two minutes’ walk from the Temple Bar district. Here you will enjoy being in the very heart of Dublin's city centre, next to many of the well-known pubs and restaurants and just a short walk away from all the main attractions.

This comfortable apartment is situated on the second floor of a beautiful Georgian building (without a lift) and has a large living room with two double sofa-beds and a 32" flat screen television with cable channels. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, a stove/hob, a fridge and everything you need for preparing your meals. There is also a dining table for eating in if you decide to stay at home.

There are two spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed and a single bed. Each bedroom has a bedside table and a wardrobe with ample storage for your clothes. There are also two bathrooms, one with a shower/bath and the other with a walk-in shower (the ensuite in the main bedroom.)

For your comfort and convenience there is gas central heating and free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the flat. We also include a hair dryer, iron, washing machine and towels as standard in the apartment with ironing boards and travel cots available on request. There is also secured, gated car parking available in a lot behind our main building at a cost of €15 per night.

Take a short stroll along the River Liffey and in just 10 minutes you will arrive at the Jameson distillery, one of Ireland’s iconic brands. Hop on the Luas tram and in five stops you will arrive at the famous Guinness brewery.

Whether you are travelling to Dublin for business or pleasure, this property has everything you need for an enjoyable trip.

Guest access

This is a private, self-contained apartment. The main front door is shared with four other apartments in the building and has its own private intercom system.

Interaction with guests

I interact with my guests as much as possible! I don't reside in the listing but I do see my guests as much as I can, especially as my office is located out back in the car park behind the building.

Other things to note

Check-in is from 3-5:30 pm. If your arrival time is outside of these hours then you *must* inform us so that we can make alternative arrangements for collection of the keys.

Please give us your approximate arrival time so that we can know when to expect you. It always helps to know when we can expect people!

When you arrive, please come to our main building at number 50 Middle Abbey Street for check-in. We are located directly opposite the main entrance to Arnotts department store, just look for the light green house with the orange door.

Ring the bell when you arrive; if I don't answer within a minute or two, just go next door to The Abbey Hotel and ask them to ring me.

Really easy to communicate with and super helpful. You are in a lively area, thats for sure but overall nice place. Beds were super comfortable. Location was probably the best in Dublin.

We are a family of 6 that stayed at Kevin's apartment for two nights while in Dublin. the apartment was very central and great point to navigate the city from. There are lots of bars around and we were a bit worried the noise would be an issue but the apartments were very quiet ( may be different in summer when you want the windows open) and it's wasn't an issue for any of us. The only thing we did notice was that the kitchen was very basic. This apartment would be sensational for a group of friends who would be eating out the majority of the time but we found it a little challenging to find things like trays etc for cooking dinner. ( maybe we were just looking in the wrong spot). If you need to avail yourself of the parking make sure you arrive by 5.30pm. We were unaware of that requirement and it caused a lot of issues for us in particular as we were driving A people mover and trying to find parking at 6.00pm at night in the heart of Dublin a few weeks out from Christmas is a nightmare!!!! We were able to park at the apartments the next day and it was great. Kevin was very friendly and like I said if it was just my hubby & I then I would book again in a heart beat possibly not so much with all the kids in tow .

The apartment was in a great location for access to some great spots on the river. Unfortunately the building was definitely older and in need of some TLC. During our stay it seemed a pipe was leaking from the bathroom and soaked the floor in the adjacent bedroom. We were told it was a spill from a previous tenant, but that was not the case. It smelled the whole apartment with stale musty water. The beds were comfortable and staff was courteous and kind.

I am a fun-loving, easy going host who loves having guests come stay at my self-catering holiday apartments in the very heart of Dublin's city centre.

I have a great knowledge of the local area having spent all my life in Dublin and can easily direct you to the best places to eat, drink and be merry. The nightlife (i believe) in Dublin is lots of fun and simply cannot be missed! I often form a great relationship with my guests and have even been known to go out with them for a pint or two in the local pub The Gin Palace.
