Our stay in Paris was wonderful! 74 Rue du Vertbois was a beautiful place to stay, close and convenient to everything. Chokri was very accommodating, meeting us for check in at a moments notice. He reviewed all essentials in the apartment and made us very comfortable. It goes without saying that the apartment looks and feels exactly like the pictures. This was our first trip abroad and we felt at home here. Once we conquered the Metro, we were on our way and did not stop until we dropped daily! The beds were very comfortable, the wifi was excellent, having a washer/dryer on site was extremely convenient. Overall, this was a great choice for our family of 5! Even grandma loved it!
What a great airbnb experience. The communication from these guys was excellent. They were very accommodating and super friendly. The home itself was very lovely, and was everything like the pictures. The neighborhood was in a perfect location, close to public transport and to amazing attractions and restaurants, but still on a quiet street. Nothing but great things about this place! I highly reccomend!
This apartment is beautiful, quiet and well located. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in Paris. It was a great place to come home to after a day out. Chokri met us at the apartment and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. It was a lovely stay.
Très bon séjour dans cette
appartement très agréable
En plein centre de Paris
j'y reviendrais merci
It's always tough when an owner responds quickly and wants you to have a good stay.
The truth is despite a good location, clean and tidy and ready when you arrive, this was a terrible experience.
The apartment is a renovated storefront complete with frosted glass running the entire front. While the mechanical metal roll down security door for charm. We stayed a week.
I hope the new temperamental lock gets fixed, 20 minutes I couldn't get it to open nor could my husband get out. It limited the comings and goings substantially. I was patient with the lock so as not to break the key in the lock. I have used multiple turn locks in Italy and France so I know how they are supposed to work.
I consider a bedroom a room with a door. Only one room fit that description. One bed was 6ft/2+ meters off the floor,no side rails. It was listed as 2 bedroom. Call it a loft, be accurate. Although Airbnb allows a very loose description of bedrooms, without pictures of the door, even asking may not work.
No common public space, another fold out futon in the lower level but no door and it is the only space all if you can socialize. Only 4 dining chairs, ad sleeps says 6, so plan on standing meals.
Lighting was so low, like a bar, so bring a light if you want to read or like dressing in clothes that look ok having dressed in the dark. The low lights are purple and red. The streetlight is quite bright but closing the drape requires enormous height so as not to damage the draper.
The dual washer/dryer comes with no info so experiment early or soggy clothes will go home in your suit case.
Every surface is hard, no carpets, leather, all the uneven floors that a real toe masher in the dark. A huge ouch!
While the private toilet is essential, bring toe shoes or have the foot length of a toddler to go up the steep steps without a rail.
The shower doesn't drain so be careful not to flood the bathroom. The tub is a better option.
Being on the street meant no stairs to climb but do watch the 2 steps at the door entry or you might stumble in.
The owner can't control the next door renovations but work started every morning at 8.
We asked for cleaning supplies, only one kitchen cloth. We promptly got Kleenex which is not useful to keep the kitchen clean.
At every turn we had to struggle with the limitations of this rental. I go on vacation to enjoy and this failed miserably.
Sorry but after 12 hours and 4.5 K USD airfare, a total bust. I wish the other reviews didn't soften the deficiencies. Like 3 levels, not for children, etc.
The apartment is great. It has 3 levels each of which has a different vibe. The location is great as well. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to go plus there are several metro stations nearby. I would definitely stay there again.
Justina's apartment is perfectly located. Almost inside Hyde Park.
My teenager daughter loved running there every morning!
Also we enjoyed very much the nice view from the balcony.
We could visit lots if nice spots by walking which makes the sightseeing experience even richer!
Bryan is such a sweet guy and was very helpful!
Swank! This is a super cool apartment nestled into one of the best locations in Paris. It’s just a few blocks from many of the city’s most famous attractions, and yet the street itself is far enough away from the bustle to be relatively quiet, allowing for a restful retreat at the end of your busy day. Several different metro lines are within a couple blocks.
The apartment is on three floors, with bedrooms upstairs, kitchen and dining on the main floor, and a downstairs media and living room that could easily pass as a small nightclub. Part of the kitchen floor is glass with a view to downstairs, which provides a dramatic touch that really opens up the space. We took note of how well the place was designed, with attention to little details, like soothing lighting. Overall, it’s a total of about 1,000 square feet, which makes each floor somewhat compact – but by Paris standards, this is generously sized apartment.
There’s a modern full fridge with icemaker and other amenities you don’t typically find in a Paris apartment. These were especially helpful to us, since we stayed for a month.
The street itself is a little foodie oasis in a city of gastronomical wealth. Pramil gets a 28 (out of 30) from Zagat for food, and deserves such high praise, especially since it is so reasonably priced (walk down and talk to the amiable chef to make a reservation). There’s also the super famous (and insanely expensive) L’Ami Louis on the block, which is known for its celebrity clientele, including movie stars presidents.
We were checked in and out by Chokri, the owners’ assistant. He lives nearby and really knows the area, so spend a few minutes chatting with him. For example, he told us about the canals near Republic Square a few blocks away that are a delight for Parisians, and not typically found on the tourist maps. Frankly, that’s the type of discovery you want to make when living in an apartment like a local, rather than just staying in a hotel.
J.Yves & David have a beautiful place! It is very clean and very roomy. The apartment is located in the perfect place and just a few short blocks to the metro. They were easy to get in contact with and received quick responses from them. Before our stay they sent a detailed outline how to get to their place from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here!
J. Yves and David's apartment is very fresh, clean and very well located in Paris. The beds are comfortable. The Metropolitan are close and easy to get around town. We had a problem the last day with a key and Chokri David and his friend were very quick to resolve it.
Absolutely recommended for your holiday in Paris.
