Rachel was a helpful and responsive host and the house is lovely! Great views, comfy beds, nice kitchen. The complimentary maple syrup is a nice touch, and my 9-year-old loved exploring the woods behind the house. As a result of cooking bacon for breakfast, we knew that the smoke alarm worked! (And the oven runs cold.)
The home is clean and bright. It was plenty of space for two couples. The pictures don't do the location and the view justice. The home is sitting on the mountainside, atop a steep hill, and it may be tricky for some vehicles, especially if there is snow. We came during the coldest week of the year, with record low temps, and unfortunately the pipes froze on the second day of our stay! Rachel and Justin were extremely responsive and the issue was resolved in the afternoon. They were very friendly throughout our entire stay, and they made a great recommendation for where to grab breakfast. We would stay again!
The house was cozy and perfect for our two small families. It was fun to explore the surrounding woods on snowshoes, and so nice to have a couple extra pairs on hand for everybody to try. The view from the home was beautiful, and everything was clean and tidy. We weren't able to access Wi-Fi or make any phone calls which made our stay a little bit more challenging then we would've liked, as we did need to contact the host with questions and weren't able to . Also we weren't able to get up the long and steep driveway as it had wasn't plowed for our arrival. Despite these challenges, we enjoyed our stay very much and Rachel was very accommodating leading up to our stay. I'm sure the home would also be very beautiful in the summer, hopefully we can visit again during the warmer months.
