Two room apartment in the lively district of Neukölln. Sleep up to a maximum of six people. All other expected modern conveniences supplied. Very convenient location for Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Schönefield airport.
PLEASE NOTE: The was recently a leak in the upstairs apartment which has caused some damage on the kitchen ceiling and the spare bathroom. The kitchen is a little unsightly but perfectly usable. The spare bathroom, however, currently has a mould problem which will be repaired in the next month or so. As such, the spare bathroom should be considered off-limits and I have lowered my prices until the repair construction has been done.
Main residence: please enquire for availability before booking :)
Apartment available in up-and-coming Neukölln. I have one bedroom with double bed, a double sofa-bed in the living room and an additional airbed, for a maximum sleeping capacity of six.
Location is a couple of minutes from Rathaus-Neukölln station, with proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and all the cool bars on Weserstrasse.
Hop on the U-bahn north and you have all the bohemian action of Kreuzberg within a short train ride. Alternatively, walk along the canal and stop by a cafe, rent a bicycle or a dinghy and go for a trip on the water!
New listing, so providing an attractive price to get the ball rolling!
This is my main residence, so the entire apartment is only available when I am out of town. I am, however, renting my living room sofa-bed at all times. Please see my other listing.
My apartment is located directly above a bar, and they have live music a couple of times a week until 10 or 11pm and sometimes parties at the weekend. This may be a problem for those who need to be up early at the weekends on their trip. Otherwise, why not go downstairs and get involved!
Guests will have use of the entire apartment.
NOTE: Due to the recent leak problem noted here, the spare bathroom should be considered out of use for the time being.
Interaction with Guests
This is my only residence, so I rent the room when I'm out of town. I may be present on the day of arrival/departure, but more likely will co-ordinate everything by email or phone if necessary.
Subway station Rathaus-Neukölln is a 1 minute walk away
Other Things to Note
Please note that this is my main residence, and I rent the apartment when I'm out of town. I don't operate like a hotel as some Airbnb hosts do. As such I ask guests to be realistic and expect facilities as a house guest, not a hotel guest.
Bedding for the listed beds.
Feel free to use any available toilet paper, washing up liquid and washing powder and soap.
Feel free to help yourself to any perishable food that may be in the refrigerator when you arrive. However, please refrain from eating longer-term supplies in the cupboards.
I have some spare towels that guests can use (bedroom cupboards) but I can't guarantee enough for large groups.
Shower products such as shower soap, shampoo and conditioner. Please bring your own.
I don't have any rules other than to respect my place and leave it in a (reasonably) clean state. It is very important, though, to be careful with the keys since replacing them is very difficult and expensive (€75 through my landlord) to replace, and I have few copies.
Smoking allowed on the balcony.

Greats appartement, looks like the pictures. Jon is a reactive and arranging person. I recommend to people that looking for a cheap and big appartement.
Jon's flat was clean and tidy, well located, comfortable. And not an empty impersonal flat like one can get sometimes on airbnb!
We didn't get the chance to meet Jon but he was very quick to reply every time we had some questions.
Can only recommend!
A nicely decorated apartment. Everything was working and we had two hassle free nights there. Unfortunately, as stated by one of the earlier reviews, the apartment is filled with hints of cigarette smell. Then there is this issue mentioned by Jon about the kitchen and 2nd washroom. These aren't deal breakers though and they did not had a big impact on our stay there (and prices were also adjusted to reflect these inconveniences).
Jon is a really friendly and helpful guy. We left some stuff accidentally and he did not mind going through the trouble of posting them to us.
Finally back home, but the memory was still in Berlin due to this cozy flat, Jon is a really nice landlord even though we didn't meet for once, because of his busy routine, but everything was arranged perfectly and the flat is very clean and tidy. It is very suitable for 3-5 persons stay, there are 2 washing rooms. The flat is also closed to the subway station, only about 5 mins walk. But there is a bar under the flat, sometimes it is a little bit noisy. However, it doesn't influence sleeping or rest too much.
It was a great experience!!jon's house was really nice and clean, full of comfort and very close to the metro!!we will return for sure!!
good location, but appartment is overpriced and not suited for 4 people.
That there are three beds is clearly stated in the listing. The maximum occupancy of six therefore assumes bed sharing and it's up to guests to decide their own sleeping arrangements. I made Darjusch an alternative offer for a basic additional bed which was the best I could do remotely considering the circumstances
In spite of this, I hope he and his friends had a good stay. I would encourage him to read listings more carefully in future, however
