  • I had my mind refreshed after 2 nights staying at this villa.
I love this room too. Looked like in pictures.
Good taste of art and design. Friendly staff (they could arrange a bike rental for our stay and they kept my belongings safe when I left after checking out), and of course the location was great (near ubud center where you can find artsy stuff)
Agung was so detailed in giving us Ubud areal directions. It was much needed.

The villa is so neat and well-managed. I recommend this listing.

  • the room is so beautiful decorated, really lovely place and breakfast is delicious.
just do not like the bathroom, water dribbled out made the shower not so pleasant and sometimes water is not hot enough, better hv hand held shower.

    Response from Made:

    hey Jing,
sorry that we do not have hand held showers, our interior designer loves the Italian rain forest shower heads (from above) and I personally think that they also looks better than any hand showers;) but I will speak with him, maybe we can accommodate your wish at the next updates of the villa ;)

  • It was a pleasant stay at Indigo Villa. We didn't get to meet Made, however the manager (Gung) and his team was fantastic, helpful and always make sure we are well taken care of.

The Villa is situated in the middle of rice fields, so waking up to the beautiful view of rice fields is definitely amazing. The room was very spacious and clean and comes with some movie DVDs for guests to watch.

Another thing we love about this place is the awesome breakfast and the homemade jam and fruit juices. Also, free shuttle to Ubud town area is very thoughtful too.

We would definitely come back to this place if we ever have a chance to go back to Bali.

  • The stay at Indigo Tree was extremely tranquil and relaxing.
Positives: the decor was really stylish, the king bed with mosquito net draped over, and a large bathroom. It was clean, and was tidied everyday. The breakfast was extensive (choice of nasi goreng, eggs on toast and pancakes with coffee/ tea and juice/ fruit salad), they often forgot something like toast or milk or tomato but when you asked they brought it immediately. The staff were also really friendly, we left our camera in the private car and they stored it for us! Transfer was proficient, even though he resort was out of town, it was very easy to get in and out with no cost.

Negatives: the shower took a long time to heat up and when it did, there was low pressure and just dribbled out. The pool looked slightly murky so we didnt swim in it (maybe I am just picky). The "tourist help" wasnt very helpful - we were quoted a price to gili via email, told it was a great company, etc. When we tried to book when we got there, they didn't believe how cheap we were quoted and then when they were convinced they charged us in USD (not AUD) which was what it said in the email. They also told us we were the last ones to be picked up before they went to the port (padang bai)... we were the first ones and drove through Ubud for 1.5 hours. The ferry also went via Lombok and Gili Air which we weren't initially told about. We ended up getting up at 6am to arrive in Gili at 12:30. So remember to ask the right questions!

  • Fantastic mini resort. Great hosts and fantastic holiday.

  • I was staying with friends in Kuta and decided to take off to ubud by myself for a few days. I ended up staying in the indigo resort and it was wonderful and quiet. The driver to take you into town was priceless. We ended up having a surprise dinner for nye and it was an excellent way to bring in 2014. The staff couldn't be more helpful and I would definitely stay again. Thank you

  • My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful stay in the Designer Suite and Penthouse. The Designer Suite is very comfortable and provides a perfect morning cross breeze from the large sliding windows on both sides of the room. I especially enjoyed waking up to watch the birds feeding in the rice paddies that the villa is surrounded by. Some of the bird variety are herons from nearby Petulu Village. No need to go there, they come to you.

Due to a tornado that swept through the property, (while we were in town getting a relaxing massage) we were upgraded to the Penthouse. Although our room was not effected directly, we were moved to give workers access to repair a part of the roof connected to the designer suite. I thought it couldn't get any better until I saw the massive room with two sofas, a large table with benches that could easily accommodate a family of eight, and claw leg luxurious bathtub, plus a private balcony with comfortable furniture for relaxing.

The wifi connection was very strong in both rooms.

The breakfasts were very filling and tasty, some of the best Balinese banana pancakes I have ever had. Also, Balinese coffee, fresh juice from a variety of fruit or a fruit bowl and eggs cooked any way you like them with toast and homemade pineapple jam (don't miss it!)

The staff is wonderful, friendly, attentive and responsive to any concerns. They even went on a wine run for us. I highly recommend the Plaga red purchased from a local grocery store and recommended by the owner of the villa.

If you are in the least squeamish or afraid of lizards in your room you need to either conquer your fear or find another place to stay. As the owner says, "they were there first." Even with the windows closed there are small cracks in the designer window frames that allow them easy access. They mostly stay on the ceiling or high on the walls but make a chirping sound that makes them seem much closer. Fortunately they don't chirp in the room all night and I got used to sharing the room with them.

The free rides to town made this a wonderful location for relaxing outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud.

    Would definitely stay again!

  • It was a great stay and staff was friendly. Ubud centre is only about 15mins drive in normal traffic condition.
