The space
This is the upper suit of the Joya del Mar beach house. It's a comfy 1-bedroom unit with a small living room where you can snuggle up at the end of a day of working, beach combing or touring. The kitchenette is equipped for preparing a simple and quick snack. But don't worry, you have plenty of restaurants to choose from in walking distance. Enjoy the balcony, sit down with a glass of wine, and relax while watching the Caribbean Sea.

This upper suite is designed for guests who enjoy simple, easygoing beachfront living. Because it’s on the second floor, you’ll get more breeze and better views, but you’ll also use an exterior staircase to reach the space. The neighborhood stays quiet at night, and you’ll hear the natural sounds of the sea and the coconut trees around the house. The suite is part of a small beachfront property, so you may see other guests on the beach or grounds, but your terrace is private to you. If you’re working remotely, the Wi‑Fi is strong and reliable, and the smart TV is ready for your streaming accounts.

Maya Beach is one of those rare spots where everything feels easy. The shoreline stretches for miles, the pace is slow, and great food is always close by. From here, you can head out for reef trips, river adventures, or inland jungle tours without long travel times. Placencia Village is just a short drive south, with Seine Bight even closer when you want more dining or local culture.

I am marine biologist and love nature. Originally from Austria we traveled a lot and lived in different countries but somehow Belize doesn't let us go :-) We, my wife Simone and I, live in Maya Beach. For years we have now been working as property managers for several properties in the area. We love diving, dining out and a cold beer on our dock overlooking the beautiful canal just steps away from the Placencia lagoon. We are very much looking forward to hosting you in the small country of Belize.
