Two self-contained rental units in one beach house! Ideal for friends traveling together, or families with grown children. Enjoy togetherness & privacy both! Hang out in the larger Main Residence by day, but enjoy the privacy and quiet of your own space by night. You'll be right in the popular Maya Beach, within walking distance of bars and restaurants, a grocery store, and a car/golf cart rental agency.

The space
Joya del Mar is a beautifully located vacation home with two private units - perfect for sharing between two couples or a family. The bigger Main Residence has a full kitchen, a large living room and a king bedroom. From an outdoor staircase you access the Upper Suite, a 1-bedroom with its own bathroom and small kitchenette. Being a separate entrance and with open railings, it's not suitable for kids but it's perfect for adults wanting to share a beach house but have plenty of privacy.

Guest access
You’ll have direct access to the public, but quiet, beachfront in Maya Beach just steps from the house. Both the Main Residence and the Upper Suite open onto spacious beach‑side balconies with uninterrupted views of the water.

Other things to note
Both spaces in this home are fully private, each with its own entrance and balcony. The Upper Suite is reached by an outdoor staircase with open railings, so it’s best suited for adults rather than young children. The beach in front of the house is public, but this part of Maya Beach stays quiet and relaxed. You may see neighbors or walkers pass by, but most of the time it feels peaceful and uncrowded.

Maya Beach is a small community on the Placencia Peninsula, which is known for its 14 miles of natural beachfront, excellent restaurants, and fun beach bars. It's a perfect base for tours when you're contemplating jungle and ruins tours as well as water activities like fishing, diving or snorkeling. Maya Beach is 8 miles from Placencia Village and 4 miles from Seine Bight Village.

I am marine biologist and love nature. Originally from Austria we traveled a lot and lived in different countries but somehow Belize doesn't let us go :-) We, my wife Simone and I, live in Maya Beach. For years we have now been working as property managers for several properties in the area. We love diving, dining out and a cold beer on our dock overlooking the beautiful canal just steps away from the Placencia lagoon. We are very much looking forward to hosting you in the small country of Belize.
