The Space

We live in a very quiet 1906 apartment with 13' ceilings, bright, sunny rooms with lots of plants, and an aquarium. There are always orchids in bloom. I am an art rep and the apartment is filed with original artworks and eclectic, unique furnishings.

We have a great kitchen, lots of cookware and staples if you want to cook. There is always wine and coffee to share.

Your room is fully furnished with a very comfortable double size bed (1 European double), TV, wifi and fresh linens. The room is always very sunny and warm. The shared bathroom has lots of hot water and great water pressure, lots of fresh towels.

GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD !
'Lower Pacific Heights' is one of the best areas in San Francisco:
On this block there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants, yoga studios, (Solstice Restaurant & Lounge, Tataki Sushi, The Mindful Body, Cumicia Coffee)
Short walk to upper Fillmore Street, and Laural Village & Sacramento) - these are upscale shopping and eating and drinking...

Laundry and a cleaners are directly across the street from apartment.

  • Johnny was polite, generous and responsive to any questions I had for him. Great place to stay all around. Totally different experience from a hotel stay, for sure. The Chinese restaurant downstairs (Eliza's) was just phenomenal. Took me a bit to get used to the city sounds, but it was fine. I'm going to try to stay there again on future business trips. Thanks, Johnny!

  • Staying at Johnny's beautiful home was a delight. He provided a beautiful and warm space for us, a very user friendly kitchen, clean and tidy with gorgeous artwork and attention to beauty. He's also very generous with restaurant recommendations and easy travel suggestions. The neighborhood is great, walkable and central.

  • Johnny was exceptionally nice. His place is super spacious and in a great location. Will definitely stay there again if I'm the area.

  • I visited SF with my sister and we both enjoyed our stay in Johnny's home. We felt welcomed and was given appropriate suggestions on best way to do things we wanted to do. The neighborhood is nice and very convenient to get around anywhere to the major downtown places. Our room was comfortable, only problem was due to the prime location of the property it was a bit noisy and hard to sleep at night if you are a light sleeper. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

  • The room was great! Johnny was very helpful with answering all the questions I had about getting around the city. The apartment is conveniently located with a bus stop near the door step and cafes and restaurants at the corner of the road. The room was also clean and comfortable. Would surely recommend!

  • Johnny's apartment is beautiful, the location is fantastic, the room is ideal, just excellent all round! The room is a great size, and the whole place is filled with artwork. There is a such a friendly atmosphere, and wine available! I cannot speak highly enough of this place - I stayed here for two months while working in SF and managed to find the perfect home!

  • Room as advertised.

  • Johnny was very welcoming on arrival and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. I was not around much as I was working long hours but the place was lovely and homely. The only thing is the room is loud from traffic, not Johnny's fault just important to bring earplugs!
    Thanks again Johnny!

  • Johnny and Mark are extremely agreeable, polite and discreet hosts. They made me feel at home. The room facing California street is good size, with big closet, table, dressers, nice bed, bedside table and lamp. Although facing a main thoroughfare, the room is surprisingly quiet. I had a very relaxing sleep. Thanks guys.

About
I am originally from North Carolina (yes, i still have my 'southern' accent even after 27 years living in San Francisco. I am fine art and commercial photographer ((website hidden)), and I have founded and run several 3 galleries in San Francisco ((website hidden)) and produced many art events to raise money for non-profits. I am also an artist coach and still maintain my connections to sell art by local artists. I love traveling when time and finances permit. I've been to Egypt, Turkey, London, Paris, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Hawaii of course if you live on the west coast ! I want to go to Asia or Peru next..... I must have my coffee first thing in the morning and have been known to get coffee across the street....so that I can meet a friend for coffee later. I will eat pretty much anything unless it is really hot and spicy. I love red wine, wine tastings.....and who doesnt like margaritas. However, martini's at "The Top of the Mark" is what you drink there.
