About this listing
UPDATE: Now with WiFi (I just got it put in at the beginning of January 2013.), so you may surf to your heart's content!
My homey condo wants to host you. Located on Green Street, a lovely block in the Art Museum neighborhood, this one bedroom hardwood pied a terre serves as an easy base for exploring Philadelphia. Ten minute walk to the new Barnes Foundation, 12 to the Art Museum (live out your Rocky fantasies). 15-20 to Center City or the Schuylkill river (beautiful running for the aerobically-inclined among you).
And after you have stuffed yourself full of cheese steaks and taken in a show, return home and have a relaxing evening in front of the fireplace or grill on the roof deck upstairs and enjoy a beer while digging the view of Philly's wildly underrated skyline.
The street itself is quiet and peaceful, but very close to restaurants and bars aplenty, including St. Stephen's Green, a dynamite gastropub literally a 40 second walk away. So please come, stay in my digs, and see everything that Philly has to offer!
Smoking allowed on deck outside, but forbidden inside. Feel free to help yourself to any food in the house.
Great space, perfect location!
Tim's place is in a great location and very convenient! Check in was easy and we had a nice stay. Tim was very thorough when we communicated.
Tim was a pleasure to communicate with and was very helpful with providing information about the area! The apartment is located in a really beautiful, walk-able neighborhood of Philadelphia. The apartment itself was lovely and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
Tim was a great host. He communicated with us very well. The apartment is in a very convenient location in Philadelphia, close to many major attractions. We arrived late but Tim was very gracious and allowed us to check in late and even helped to navigate the parking rules in the neighborhood. We had to tidy up a little, but after that, it was a comfortable, secure stay. The bed and futon were comfortable. The shower pumped out hot water like nobody's business. And the building was very quiet and private. I highly recommend Tim's place when you're visiting Philly.
The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Really nice and quiet place, we can find everything we need, so close to city hall and art museum, Tim is nice host, easy to communicate with, hope come back again:)
We stayed at Green Street for two months while visiting family in Philadelphia, so my needs would be different than someone visiting for a weekend. Tim was very helpful the first few days getting us set up for WiFi and getting the aircon put in, and left us to our devices after that.
Best feature for me was washer-dryer in-house and made up for tall narrow staircase to get up to the apartment. I also appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and even basic pantry needs which were a great help the first few days before we could get to the market. I did have to get my own kitchen table and chairs, could not use the low coffee table on a daily basis. The living room/kitchen doesn't get much light but the bedroom is full of daylight (a lot of daylight!). Tim provides plenty of bed linens and towels. Nice vacuum cleaner so I was able to keep up the carpet and floors.
Roof deck has a great view but more stairs, only went up a couple times. The location is excellent, lots of great eateries in walking distance. Thanks Tim for a wonderful stay.

About the Host, Tim
I like stories, yoga, traveling, and long bike rides at night. When I think about summer camp, I smile. I am introverted, but not especially shy. I don't understand how Belgian wheat beer is in any way desirable. While a Snuggie may be one of the signs that we are well on the road to a Wall-E future, I embrace the former while decrying the latter.
