Description

The space

Great location in the heart of Little Italy. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Apartment itself is very comfortable with central air and heat, spacious apartment with all the typical living needs and pull-out couch for 2nd bed or 3rd/4th guest

1 Bedroom apartment with Queen bed in bedroom and pullout, L-shaped couch in living room, and last but not least, a small balcony.

The location is AMAZING - right in the middle of Little Italy which is 5 minute walk from SoHo (shopping, trendy bars, etc), Chinatown (to buy America's best products, LOL), and Lower East Side (more trendy bars, eclectic NYC life).

The kitchen is fully stocked with most kitchen utensils, pots, pans, dishes for up to 4; coffee maker, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, etc I usually keep around for your convenience.

Pretty large living room and big enough of a bedroom to get up on either side of the bed.

Small BALCONY looking over Little Italy...if you like the "vibe" of the city, you get inspired by just taking a step outside and seeing LIttle Italy literally at your feet!

We are also a 5 minute walk from the "6" train which can take you downtown to World Trade Center area in 5 more minutes, Union Square in 5 minutes, Central Park in 20 minutes, etc.. 7 minute walk from N/R trains which can take you all the way up Broadway to Times square in 20 minutes and up through central Manhattan. 5 minute walk from B/D train which can take you to the West side of Manhattan - West Village, Madison Square Garden, etc.

Take a walk over the Brooklyn bridge, 15-20 minute walk or 5 min train ride away.

You will thoroughly enjoy the quiet neighborhood (Italian restaurants closed around 10pm and it becomes quiet) and the ability to get almost anywhere in Manhattan within 20-30 minutes. Along with the Italian and obviously Chinese cuisines, almost any type of cuisine can be found within a 10 minute walk through SoHo or Lower East Side.

Buliding is an elevator building with NO STAIRS.

There are laundry facilities downstairs in the same building, but shares with the other 11 apartments in the building. There are a pair of washers and dryers. Coin operated. I have detergent in stock if you want to do a load while you are here.

Wireless internet (password provided upon your booking/arrival), HD Cable TV, Towels, Sheets, cooking utensils, etc. Make my home yours for your visit to NYC and live like a New Yorker!

(Soon I will be updating the pics as I have added a dining table and bar stools so there is a way to sit down and eat, and my TV is new as well...sorry you don't see it in the pictures).

We have central air and heating.

Upon your booking I will usually request your approximate arrival time and departure time. The typical check-in is 2pm and check-out is 11am. Anything outside those times please let me know so we can adjust. I can be flexible by a few hours for check-out if the next guest is arriving later. You can also leave your bags/drop your bags and go have some coffee or lunch if you are leaving late/arriving early and the cleaning between guests needs to be done.

Thanks and I hope to see your booking soon...

They will have access to the entire apartment, including a full kitchen with average amount of stuff for a family of 3-4. I am very business minded and therefore have the BEST WiFi package from my provider. You will find very fast WiFi at my apartment.

I will stay in touch by email and phone if needed. I have found that the guests have been good about finding the keys in the lockbox and letting themselves in and departing the apartment. I can always be reached by phone, , and email.

It is THE center of little italy, giving it a real New York City feel. It is very touristy, while also showing a unique side of New York with the Italian guys out front coaxing you to come inside to eat.
As busy and bustling as it is during the day, it is EXTREMELY QUIET at night when I need to sleep. Little Italy is not a place for bars or night is all about the restaurants.

I also like that we are close to a bunch of public transportation options, good eating other than Italian, and shopping in SoHo.

Very near to the 6 (email hidden), and B/D (email hidden).

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 3PM
Check out by 12PM (noon)

Smoke outside, keep yourself and the space relatively clean and don't make a problem with our wonderful neighbors!

Garbage should be taken out regularly please. There is a garbage "chute" right outside the apartment door. Recyclables should be taken to the basement level and sorted into paper vs. plastic bins.

Let me know as soon as you arrive if you find a problem with anything. Be flexible if I need to have repairs done if something has broken or needs fixed. I would try to schedule time while you were gone seeing the sites of NYC so we don't interrupt your relaxing time at the apartment.

The apartment location was right in the middle of little Italy and Chinatown. Everything about the apartment is as pictured and clean. The full kitchen was a real life saver traveling with a 14m old. We made baby foods for the baby and ordered take out for the adults from restaurants close by when little kids are tired from sight seeing. Will definitely book from Rob again if we are heading to NYC.

I have traveled to NYC many times over the years. This was the best. Location is great, close to wonderful restaurants in both Little Italy and Chinatown and walking distance to the metro. We were a family of three and all were comfortable. I loved all the coffee machines and having a fridge and dishwasher was super as well. We will definitely stay here again

Lovely flat, well equipped and easy walking distance to public transport or further into the city if you like a longer stroll. Rob was very accommodating and a great host

Robert's place was a great experience for us. Great location in Little Italy (this part of town was a bit quieter than expected, but easy to access the more lively parts of town from here), clean apartment, and MUCH larger than expected. To be honest, the amount of space in this apartment is insane for New York City. Definitely would stay here again - no problems at all.

I've stayed here many times, and hopefully will do so many more times. It's one of my favorite places to stay in the city.

Robert's apartment was a life saver. I had a weeklong work obligation downtown and I needed to get to and from Foley square as quickly as possible. The apartment was located in exactly the right place. It is spacious, cozy and comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, nice crumbled stone tile in the bathroom, comfortable bed, gorgeous bedding, great lighting, just really nice. The area is so chock full of restaurants that it can be difficult to find the little convenience store or wine shop you might need, so I would suggest doing a little exploring early in your stay, heading north rather than south (you will find them within 3 or 4 block). It was not nearly as noisy as I expected the neighborhood to be, except for one night when a jack hammer started happening at midnight, which is not allowed by city ordinance, but could (and does) happen anywhere in the city. If I wasn't on the verge of falling asleep, I would have gone out and yelled at whoever was doing it and called 311. The lobby as you walk in has some wear and tear, but you will forget about it as soon as you walk in to the apartment and see to the beautiful wood floors. Great place and I'll stay there again.

Second time staying here. May be my favorite airbnb in the city. It's in a great neighborhood, and it's much bigger than it has any right to be for the price.

I like to travel, and do so often! I have spent a total of around 4 years in East and Southern Africa, most recently to Kenya to run with the best!

I enjoy running, yoga, and swimming, as well as enjoying NYC activities. Between work and play I am not home very often but enjoy when I have guests. I like being helpful to people who are learning their way around the city. FYI, I eat mostly vegetarian foods, and prepare almost everything I eat.
