First of all even though we specified our arrival time and showed up at that exactly moment the housekeeper was still working (which by the way it was 5pm) and she ASKED US TO LEAVE the apartment. Now imagine you had came all the way from Milan with really heavy backpacks and climbed 4 long stairs with those expecting to finally reach the peace but we had no place to go furthermore we had rush that evening because we had to go to the concert, that’s why we were so clear and so certain about check-in hour.
Secondly, offering things as courtesy is something really nice. Yes, there were everything we ever needed; towels, coffee, cakes and much more. But it might be a good idea that checking if everything is still fresh and “edible”.
Location of the house is really great, close to the Metro and Termini Station (10 minutes walking distance). House is not comfortable for tall people because flat is divided into two floors and bedroom is like 1 meter from floor to ceiling LITERALLY (this means this is not a loft *Trust me I am an interior designer*), also it is not comfy at all for claustrophobics. Having an air conditioner is a really big plus for this apartment.
Overall if you want to stay in a house without worrying anything and without facing any trouble I am definitely NOT recommending this place at all! This had been a disaster from minute one.
The Rome City Center Loft worked out well for our family. It was a small but well equipped place. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Svetlana, the housekeeper. She explained everything we needed to know about the loft. Initially had problem with turning on the hot water and ended up taking bath in cold water but Aura explained it to me. Though I only met Svetlana, Aura was super responsive on the email. The only downside I saw or I was not aware of was that this loft is on the 4th floor without an elevator or lift. It turned out to be a good exercise to climb all those stairs up after eating excellent Italian food.
The apartment is exactly as the pictures. It is perfect for 2 or 3 people and has everything you could need, we found it very clean and neat. The location is also very good, very close from markets, pharmacy and turistic places. The neighborhood was safety. Aura was very nice with us, If I return to Rome I want to stay in Rome loft again
The apartment is on the fourth floor of the building- 82 steps up,with no elevator. It is compact, and the sleeping area is in a loft that you have to crawl into. The kitchen is modestly equipped, but lacks many of the amenities we have found in other airbnb lodgings. Cookware and dishes are not in good shape.
However, the apartment is in a great location. It is steps from the metro and less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. In less than 20 minutes you can walk from the apartment to many sites such as the coliseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, forum, etc. the neighbourhood is vibrant, with many restaurants and vendors close by.
The host leaves a bottle of wine, some juice and some snack cakes for your arrival. The fridge works, and there is a washing machine. The air conditioning works fairly well.
Recomendable.
The accomodation was tottally normal and good choise for the reasonably (website hidden) is situated in the city centre in a good location where you can find restaurants and a market as (website hidden) metro you can reach Vatican in 5 minutes from here and to the metro station it was 2 minutes on foot.
We had little problems with the light in the bathroom, because it switches off after some minutes but we used to it after the first day.
I would recommend this place, but not to a little bit fatter people, because i was there with my grandma who has 80 kg and she had problems to go inside the shower. There is only a really small door on the shower that´s why,so fat people or huge men don´t have a chance to have a shower there. For elderly or disabled people it is also not the best choise, while there is no elevator and you have to go to the 4th floor by steps.
Anyway everything was okay,Svetlana the housekeeper was kind although we had a problem to find the place, cause we didnt recognise scala B,where we had to go.
The location of this loft is just perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and it's really close to Termini Station.
The place was clean and staff super helpful.
