A gorgeous, recently built post & beam cottage on Sucker Lake, just minutes from the charming village of Rosseau. Great in all seasons, it is the perfect place to curl up in front of the cozy fire with a book, enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset on the dock, walk in the autumn leaves, or enjoy dinner overlooking the lake. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen both down by the lake, and in the surrounding woods.
The waterfront has a small sandy area with natural vegetation, and the lake is waist deep at the end of the dock - no diving. There are two kayaks & a paddleboat for your use. There is also a grassy area close to the shore which has a fire pit.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 double, 1 twin & 1 triple), a den with a sofa bed, as well as additional living space & a finished walk out lower level. A fully equipped kitchen, dvd player, cd player, limited television, no wireless or telephone but cell phone reception so you are welcome to bring a 'hub' for an internet connection. It is the perfect place to switch off.
Linen can be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own if possible.
The cottage is best suited for 4 adults and at most, 2 children. Upon request, the property can accommodate 2 additional adults for a fee of $50.00 per adult, per night.
The village of Rosseau offers a fabulous General Store (which sells EVERYTHING), a coffee shop, LCBO, library, antique stores, a gas station & the best food north of Toronto at Crossroads. There is also a local Nursing Station for medical needs.
There is a weekly market every Friday during the summer, along with a great waterfront with a beach, playground, and docks for swimming & boating.
Rosseau is located 2.5hours north of Toronto via Hwy 400. The village is 35min from Bracebridge & Parry Sound, and 45 mins from Huntsville. All three towns have great shops & amenities, along with hospitals.
Cottage available for weekly & monthly rentals over the winter. Please contact us for prices & availability.
This beautiful cottage was just perfect for me & 4 of my girlfriends as an escape from the city for a late September weekend. The whole set-up was cozy & clean, everything was in great shape & we really wanted for nothing! The open concept is perfect, the beds were comfy, the fireplace was super on the cooler evenings, and the view & lake were breathtaking! We spent days on the dock & evenings on the verandah & inside, and every moment was really a memory in the making. Beth & David were really welcoming with their correspondence & Robyn was quick to communicate with us if we had questions leading up to the trip. This retreat is a gem in the heart of Muskoka, we couldn't get over the fall colours & had amazing moments on the water. It was everything we'd hoped for, and more!
Beautiful cottage in a great location, only a short drive to the village of Rosseau where you'll find anything you need.
The cottage is in perfect condition, very well-equipped and very spacious - the pictures really don't do it justice in terms of its size and condition.
Perfect place to spend some time to relax, fabulous kitchen to cook in and great area with lots to do - although we found the cottage so comfy, we didn't really want to leave!
The cottage is big, very comfortable and well equiped. We had a Great time there. we did a fire at the evening near the Lake and enjoy going on the Lake with the kayaks. This is great place for family and friends.
The cottage was beautiful, clean and so peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for inside and out. The maps and information on local sites and amenities provided by the host were really helpful. Lovely host and we also loved the town of Rosseau. Would highly recommend.
This cottage was amazing. Much larger than it appears in pictures. Very clean. The lake was quiet and beautiful- shallow sand beach. Would go back in a heartbeat!
We are a family group of 5, 4 adults and an eleven year old. We spent 2 very enjoyable weeks here. The swimming and boating were great and the accommodations are superior. Everything we needed was within an 8 minute drive. We liked the secluded surroundings with mature trees and wonderful rock ledges. The hosts, Beth, Dave and Robyn were gracious and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The pictures don't do it justice! It was comfortable, well-appointed, and would be great in any season.
Robyn was a wonderful host - responsive, flexible, and friendly.
We're looking forward to another stay in the future!
The absolute worst part of this cottage experience was leaving! 5 friends and I stayed at this cottage during Canada Day weekend 2013 and had an absolute blast! The cottage is clean, the lake is gorgeous and the neighbours are an absolute delight. We will absolutely be making this cottage our yearly destination. Can't wait until next time!
We've had a great stay at this cottage; it was even bigger than we expected (it's rather a house than a cottage) and in a fantastic location at Sucker Lake.
Nearby Rosseau and Port Carling offer all the necessary grocery, shopping, and restaurant opportunities.
The owners are very caring and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!
The only thing that could be added for comfort is internet/wifi.
I'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone!
Great cottage and in an amazing location. We had a wonderful time during our short stay at the cottage, enjoying the lake views and beautiful atmosphere.
