Great location, friendly welcome and made all Kilkenny town sites and surrounding beautiful and historic spots so accessible. Ideal for a couple and two adults who didn't mind sharing a room.

The Garden Mews is a great location for exploring the Ring of Kerry and Beara Penninsula. My husband and I stayed for four days with our two young daughters. The house had everything we needed and was a quick, safe walk into town. Loved how accessible the place was while being very quiet (tucked behind the Ardree B&B).

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at the Garden Mews at Ardree house. We were warmly welcomed by one of the B&B staff who showed us around back to the separate brick house behind the main building. The unit is very accurately depicted in the Airbnb photos. It was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable for two couples travelling together. One bedroom is admittedly a bit small but it worked well enough. Everything we needed was provided in the unit. They even had eggs, bread, milk and jam for us to make our breakfast. The location was terrific, a quick 5 minute walk to the town square. Because the building is away from the road behind the main B&B, we all enjoyed a quiet restful sleep on the comfortable beds. We were told about Quinlan’s for a great seafood meal. It was so good that we ended up eating there every night! We would highly recommend this unit.

The Garden Mews was a great spot for our party of four to stay on a three-day visit to Killarney. It's just a short walk to all the activity in the busy tourist town, yet is set back from the road behind the hosts' main B&B, lending it the atmosphere of a quiet retreat. An easy ride south or west by bike is all the beauty of Killarney National Park (and Lyne's Rent A Bike is just across Muckross Road). We enjoyed Ross Castle, a boat ride to Innisfallen Island, Muckross Abbey and Torc Waterfall, all without moving our car after arrival. Craft beer lovers will appreciate that Killarney Brewing Co. is a two-minute walk south on Muckross Road. Stop by for a pint. The property is perfectly comfortable, with two full bathrooms and a small but complete kitchen (including an auto-drip coffee maker ... great for American travelers!). The washing machine was very helpful. The garden just outside -- with chairs, a small table and a lovely lawn -- was a wonderful place to relax in the mornings and evenings. John & Norrie and their staff at Ardree House were great hosts, very welcoming on arrival and just a doorbell's ring away to help with questions or problems. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

My family are originally from Killarney and have always been in the hospitality industry, including my Great-Grandfather who originally ran a pub and my father who opened a hotel in the town of Killarney

I also dabbled in the building trade for many years. However it was my lovely wife Norrie who teaches Irish Dancing who actually suggested going down the B & B road.....and we haven't looked back since!
