Typically french artisan loft in the middle of an oasis of verdure. Perfect fit for rest after your day around the city or enjoy the trendy neighboord of Bastille. If you like books, music, art and antique features you are going to love it!
The building is an ancient artisan house with a private entrance in a shared flourished courtyard, where you can sip your tea and sunbath on the benches. The studio apartment is a duplex that can host 2 people on 50 m2. We preserved all the antique features: ceilings of the mansard, oak parquets floors and a marble fireplace with their mirror. A good Internet WIFI connection is provided. TV, DVDs, tons of books in different languages and a lot of music to listen on the high fi. METRO just 2 minutes walking. Please, don't forget to water the plants!
A luminous LIVING ROOM where a double cozy couch and two armchair will make your stay relaxing. The couch is convertible in a queen bed with a futon mattress, that can perfectly be used as regular bed. A table and chairs for 4, a flat TV with french and international channels, lot of books and an old bureau to write your postcards. There is a fireplace, two large french window which provide lots of sunlight.
A full equipped KITCHEN: fridge, oven, coffee maker, toaster and vitro ceramic cooking plaques, all you need to cook in. Moreover you can enjoy a beautiful view from the window when you are cooking (or just follow the Pétanque game!)
BATHROOM with a nice tub, hair dryer, washing machine, sufficient plush towels and toiletries provided.
On the 2nd floor on a hard floor mezzanine, the BEDROOM with a full size high quality matress bed, a dressing, a Tv and a lot of charm!
Please keep in mind that the apartment is at the 4th floor, no elevator.
BASTILLE was the district of carpenters and wood workers some are still in activity in hidden alleyways around rue du faubourg Saint Antoine and rue de Charonne. Now it's known to be the fashion designers district (like Isabelle Marant ) and also world known architects (like Wilmotte).
The marché d’ALIGRE is five minutes walk from the apt. A typical French market, you can find everything from fresh milk and cheese to fresh fish and fruits. Enjoy a glass of wine and oysters after in on of the old bars around the market!
The VIADUC des ARTS is one of Paris old train link that was renovated in the 1990s, transforming the lower arcades into workshops and the upper lever, where the trains once ran, into a lovely planted walkway lined with bamboo and roses, the path goes all the way to the Vincennes woods. It's the perfect place to jogging or just sit and get warm on the sunny days. You will find everything you need in the surroundings: restaurants, bars, pharmacy, supermarkets and bakeries are just around the corner!
WALKING AROUND you can explore a lot of the more interesting places on Paris just walking from the apartment. Crossing through Bastille you will be at Le Marais, once the aristocratic district of Paris, is famous now for art galleries and museums like Picasso's or Pompidou. The Marina of Paris, the Arsenal Port is on the west side of Bastille. Crossing the river you will arrive to the Jardin des Plantes (old king's gardens), Ile Saint-Louis and Notre Dame.
You’ll be 2 mins from the subway station (Charonne, line 9), Velib' close by, Bus stop a few steps of the building.
You will be at 35 minutes of DISNEYLAND from the 5 minutes station RER A - Nation.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Check-in starts at 2pm. Check-out is before 11am. Check-in/check-out hours will be flexible, depending whether or not I host some other visitors before/after your stay. No check-in possible after 9pm or before 8am but If you have special needs please ask, we will try to satisfy your request. A fee will be asked to you for exceptional check-in hours, if it's after 9pm (25€ between 9 until 11pm and 50€ from 11pm).
CLEANING We will take care of washing the towels and sheets you will use. However, we will ask you to leave the flat reasonably clean, which means : no dirty toilets and bath, no dirty dishes/pans/cups, no stains on the couch/on the bed/on the walls. In case the flat will not be reasonably clean, we may take you some money from your caution.
KEEPING LUGGAGES Unfortunately we do not have a place like a locker where you could leave your luggages before your check-in/after your check-out. However, if the apartment is free before/after your stay you can leave them in the apartment and come back when you want. But, if there are some other visitors before/after your stay, you will have to take your luggages with you.
DEPOSIT Finally, please note that we will ask you through the airbnb system 350 € deposit when booking. 350 € that we will never touch, except if you broke something because you were too happy!
