Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
You’ll love our place because of the high ceilings, the rural location, the coziness and its sense of place in nature.
Our place is great for couples and solo adventurers who enjoy their privacy, who want to get away from it all but be close enough to a more 'country-urban' vibe.
There is a deck for sunning, quite a large front and back yard. A great kitchen for meals at home, a forest to explore and miles of trails to mountain bike or hike.

The space
The house is a free standing structure, approximately 750sq.ft. divided over two floors. It is situated on a dead end dirt road, driving to town (Rochester) is about 3 miles, mostly paved. Large windows allow lots of sunlight. Furnished in a contemporary vibe.
New queen size bed, well equipped kitchen. We are surrounded by forest although there is a small yard and garden area, there are plenty of trails and back roads to explore right out the door.
House wise, everything is logical and easy to work.

Guest access
Access is to the entire house. There is a small barn which is available for bike storage only.

Other things to note
The water source is a spring- so use of water for drinking, bathing & flushing- you should be sensitive to its limitations.

Neighborhood highlights

We are near the end of a dirt road. There are few neighbors nearby, they understand and support that we rent the house as an Air bnb. Be nice- wave, say hello. The 'hood' is rural, there are animals, pickup trucks & guys with hats. We all get along, you should as well. The town, its cafes, grocery store etc. is about 3 miles on a paved road.

My work: Erik: art photographer, Agi: set decorator/art director for film and television
Lives in Rochester, Vermont
We are first and foremost artists. My husband Erik and I are restoring and live in two 1800's schoolhouses mysteriously attached together. Our house has 12 foot high pressed tin ceilings, a contemporary painting studio & darkroom, large vegetable & flower gardens. We try to live green. We both love riding our bicycles on the local secondary roads, Erik has a vintage road racing motorcycle that calls for his attention. Agi can often be found digging in the dirt in the garden. Things we cannot live without- each other, Marcel our standard poodle & Pirate our blind cat, laughing, a good bourbon, art books, Werner Herzog movies & the occasional blast of ACDC. Which should give you a hint of our age! We are easy going hosts for the most part, attentive & live nearby- we will not fawn over you nor offer 'farmers breakfasts'. Peace out. Erik and Agi
