About this listing
Our beach house faces the Pacific Ocean -- just cross the street, climb the dunes, and you are there! We're 3 blocks away from Golden Gate Park, 1 block away from public transport, and steps from a variety of great coffee shops and restaurants. We also have plenty of street parking.
SAN FRANCISCO SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: (See STR # above.)
Airy, casual beach house at the edge of the world. If you like running, surfing, or walking, this is your dream spot: Ocean Beach is across the street, and Golden Gate Park is just a few blocks away. We like to cook and have a fully-equipped kitchen, including a full espresso set up. A dog and cat reside on the premises when we are there, but we keep them out of the guest room. If you are allergic to either, this nonetheless may not be the place for you. There is Wi-Fi; there is no TV.
Possession of a San Francisco Short-Term Rental Registration Certificate certifies that the registration certificate holder has agreed to comply with the terms of the San Francisco Short-Term Residential Rental Ordinance (San Francisco Administrative Code Section 41A). This ordinance does not require an inspection of the unit by the City for potential Building, Housing, Fire, or other Code violations.
Upstairs: living room/kitchen, guest bedroom and bathroom. You will be staying in our guest bedroom, which has a comfortable pull out couch, desk, and chair. Our bedroom will be closed during your stay, and our car will be in our garage.
Interaction with guests
We will be out of town, but always reachable by phone or email. Depending on when you check in/out, we may meet you.
The Sunset side of Ocean Beach is a thriving neighborhood. We regularly walk from the house to outstanding coffee shops (Trouble, Andytown), casual restaurants/drinks (Java Beach, Beachside, Outerlands, Pizza Place on Noriega, Park Chalet), groceries (Noriega Produce, Other Avenues), and unique local shops.
The N-Judah muni stops at the end of our block. It takes approximately 45 minutes to get to downtown SF. At night, you'll want to take Uber or a cab because the N service gets sporadic.
There is ample, free, street parking. Just beware of street cleaning rules (signs are posted).
Other things to note
PLEASE READ: We have been Airbnb hosts for more than a year now, but until this point we have only done hosted stays. All the reviews you see are from guests who have stayed in the room that is being made available to you, but they've all been here with us. We wanted to try letting the whole house out. Please send us an inquiry if you have any questions!
Be considerate and polite to our neighbors. Feel free to use our kitchen and all the basic cooking supplies; just clean up after yourself.
No smoking of any kind in the house.
California is in the middle of a terrible drought, so please be conscious about water usage.
We will consider well-behaved dogs, but we will charge a security deposit for pets. You must pick up after your dog on the street/beach/park in SF, and please note that most of the beach and park are on-leash (steep fine if the rangers catch Spot roaming freely). There are off-leash areas we'd be happy to tell you about.
Hello! I am an attorney in San Francisco, and my husband Jeremiah is a sound engineer. We have lived in San Francisco for more than a decade. We love this City, and we love the Outer Sunset. But, we've fallen in love with Durango. The Adobe House is the first step in our long term plan to move out to Colorado. We are happy to answer any questions and look forward to speaking with you.
