They will place Incense and offerings at your door daily and make sure your space is clean and you have what you need. There is nothing more spectacular than having a candlelit dinner under the stars. We will make sure you feel safe and very well cared for.

Other things to note

This is a unique place and is not for everyone. It is eco tropical living at its best but with that comes nature in all its glory. Things to note: There is no air-conditioning although because of the location there is a constant cool breeze and you may even enjoy the quilt we provide at night. This cottage is a woven basket with a living bamboo and traditional grass roof leaving it totally open and in nature. Some people have asked about security. It is very secluded and very safe. However if you have valuables we are happy to lock them up for you. We have staff available to assist you and ensure you have what you need at all times. You will be very well cared for.

Sleeping in nature is something most of us don't do as we sleep in sealed rooms. It can be transformative to sleep in a natural setting, open to the cool night air, listening to the crickets and chirping geckos, the sounds of the nearby rushing stream with the fireflies glittering in the night. Don't let the unusual openness of the space deter you, this is an experience you won't soon forget.

Coming into this cottage we were a bit anxious about what to expect. We were very quickly suprised. As soon as we arrived, someone met us at the bottom of the alley to help us with our bags and show us to our cottage. The lodging is hidden and a small walk, so this was most helpful. The cottage was just like the picture and previous reviews stated, open to the outdoors with georgous views of the rice patty fields and the rest of the cottages. The open air shower was amazing (not much water pressure, but thats to be expected). We worried about being hot at night, but with the fan in the room and the openness, we were quite comfortable, even chilly at times. It was great! This cottage is a small walk to the common area, but that was alright because we had a bit more privacy than the others. We had access to a 24 hour staff that would arrange any activities we wanted to do. The common area was relaxing with couches, a pool, a kitchen, and a swing. We spent a lot of our time down there with the other guests. We ordered delicious food from the small menu that was available whenever we were hungry. The staff was so great! We've stayed in many places on this trip and I must say, we felt the most welcome and at home here. I would recommend this expecience to everyone!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo Eco Cottage. Unfortunately, it was quite rainy during our stay so it was a bit wet and a little uncomfortable. But we knew what we were getting ourselves into. It's an eco-hut. Which means it's completely outdoors. So if you're looking for hotel/resort level comfort with scented sheets and air conditioning, then this isn't for you. The scenery from the hut was breathtaking as it is completely surrounded by rice paddies. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the rice paddies was peaceful and memorable. The hut is located off of a side street that turns into a dirt road (5 min scooter ride or a 10 min walk from the main road). The staff is very helpful. They communicated with the taxi to assist with arrival, rented a motorbike to us, and carried our luggages at check-in and check-out. If you're a nature-lover looking for something different and exciting, we highly recommend.

The eco-cottage was an idyllic, quiet, lovely dream of a little place! Just so you know what you are signing up for: Do not expect reliable wi-fi. Do not expect a bug-free space. Do not expect your sheets to smell squeaky clean, as slightly mildewy smells are unavoidable in Ubud's rainy, humid climate. Do not expect four course meals. But DO expect a peaceful retreat that feels miles away from the hubbub of central Ubud, and yet is close enough that you can walk to the city center in 5-10 minutes. We checked in with ease, were given a great tour of the padi fields, and the staff were incredibly pleasant and wonderful. They made us a simple but delicious dinner, brought coffee over to our porch in the morning, and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. In the morning we woke to roosters crowing, the sound of water rushing through the fields below us, and a cool open breeze. It was one of the best airbnb experiences I've ever had!

Wonderful view. Peaceful. Be aware it is about 800 Meters to walk to stay but well with the journey.

If you are into the eco lodging thing then it's probably your thing! It was a new and interesting, don't think I could do it for more than a week(just a personal thing). The staff was super friendly and the pool/social spot was a really fun spot. I feel like they actually under sell how nice the spot truly is. A couple bugs and some rice fields never hurt anyone. Great place to unwind.... ohh and the serve cold beer!

Amazing! Hands down such an great Airbnb. The cottage is exactly as pictured. They also brought us breakfast each morning and were the friendliest people. There's also a pool, swing and small bar/food that you can use. I'd highly recommend it. Just be aware that there are a lot of bugs. I'd recommend to friends & family 100%!
