We offer a complete menu of asian fusion snacks as well as a traditional balinese village style dinner served with candlelight and all accessories for a formal dining experience under the stars. dinner is prepared fresh from wild harvested or organic ingredients. Breakfast is delivered when you awake on the patio overlooking a lush greenery as far as the eye can see.
he property is surrounded by rice fields with many opportunities for hiking.

Interaction with guests

We check in with guests daily and are helpful in navigating your stay in Ubud. We have staff available to assist you with your every need. If you choose to dine in ubud and return after dark, someone will greet you and walk you back to your room. They will place Incense and offerings at your door daily and make sure your space is clean and you have what you need. There is nothing more spectacular than having a candlelit dinner under the stars. We will make sure you feel safe and very well cared for.

Other things to note

This is a unique place and is not for everyone. It is eco tropical living at its best but with that comes nature in all its glory. Things to note: There is no air-conditioning although because of the location there is a constant cool breeze and you may even enjoy the quilt we provide at night. This cottage is a woven basket with a living bamboo and traditional grass roof leaving it totally open and in nature. Some people have asked about security. It is very secluded and very safe. However if you have valuables we are happy to lock them up for you. We have staff available to assist you and ensure you have what you need at all times. You will be very well cared for.

Sleeping in nature is something most of us don't do as we sleep in sealed rooms. It can be transformative to sleep in a natural setting, open to the cool night air, listening to the crickets and chirping geckos, the sounds of the nearby rushing stream with the fireflies glittering in the night. Don't let the unusual openness of the space deter you, this is an experience you won't soon forget.

It was a great experience, thoroughly enjoyed the novelty of spending time in this bamboo bungalow. It gets you right back connected with nature. The only issues were that the wifi didn't work much even in the common room which proves itself a bit of a challenge if you needed to get online for checking bookings etc the shower had about 15 seconds of hot water and not a lot of pressure and there was a hole in the mosquito netting around the bed. But I'd say these are very picky things and were totally doable. It's about a 20 minute walk into town, I enjoyed the walk a lot. The three nights was enough for me. Other then that this place was amazing and the hosts totally looked after you and were there if needed.

We had an amazing stay in the bamboo eco cottage! The room is really cool, there's a shared pool and a restaurant with great food. Breakfast is served to you on the terrace each morning too! The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful! It's a 15-20 minute walk into central Ubud - the main road has no pavement so be careful walking down here especially in the dark!! - which was definitely manageable. In central ubud there are loads of shops and restaurants and things to do! All the staff were so friendly and helpful too! :) There are bugs and lizards around and lots of ants so be prepared for some visitors in your room as there are no walls! We brought our own mosquito net to sleep under - there is a kind of canopy over the bed but it's not really suitable for keeping the bugs out! There is wifi but it was slow at times (we found this at all the places we stayed in Bali though) and electric lights plus sockets to plug in phone chargers. No air con/fan but weren't too hot - it actually gets quite cool at night so we used the blanket! Overall we had an amazing stay and wished we'd booked for more than 2 nights!! Definitely recommend :)

Amazing hidden spot amongst the rice fields. Still very close to main town on a scooter. Kind of scary driving the scooter through the paths at night though. I loved the open concept and that you get to hear nature, but as mentioned on the description, if that's not for you, you won't enjoy. Because I found it a bit difficult to deal with all the bugs. There were many many ants everywhere, even in bed all the time. Also saw a mini snake in the bathroom, wasps, geckos, etc but you are in nature after all! So if those things don't bug you, you will love going to bed wih sound of nature and they bring you breakfast to your hut in the morning which was very tasty! Staff was all friendly too. Glad I experienced this.

We had the most amazing stay at Wayan's bamboo cottage. The sounds of the insects, birds, frogs and stream as we drifted off to sleep were unbelievable. The cottage is open so expect critter guests... this is more akin to glamping than a typical airbnb. Though the cottage is charmingly rustic the experience is 5 star! It was truly incomparable. We weren't troubled at all by the lack of security... we just took valuables with us when we went out. Wayan's staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a communal area where they make homemade, local food right in front of you for a very good price. If you take a 15 min wander on a well established path through the rice fields (past the swing) to the next village there is also a wonderful local restaurant on the left hand side of the path.

Our stay was an amazing experience. The place is quite seculed and therefore very calm and peaceful but very near Ubud city center, 5-10min with scooter The whole team is very friendly and happy to help The common spaces where there are other accomodations is very cosy, with a nice swimming pool The team helped us arrange a tour at Gunung Kawi and the rice terraces with their driver, who was also very nice and reasonable price. A great experience for people not afraid of frogs (the cottage is all open so they tend to come in the bathroom) ;)

We had a lovely brief stay (one night) at Wayan's place. It was gorgeous - the scenery is beautiful and the accommodation itself is so unique and well worth a stay. It is loud at night - natural sounds all around - but that's completely to be expected from the lovely setting you are in! The staff are helpful and there's a place onsite where you can get food and relax aside from your cottage.

Beautiful place, really peaceful and quite yet close to the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre. The hosts were lovely and really helpful! The food is also great. We stayed in the eco cottage and got exactly what it says, it really is like sleeping with nature! If you can handle the sound of geckos, frogs and bugs chirping you to sleep then you will love it but if you aren't into bugs, snakes and lizards then might not be for you. We loved our experience here for a couple of nights.... thank You! :)
