The Space

Cute and comfy 3 bedroom 1 bath home. 1 California king Bed, 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. 2 of the bedrooms have window air conditioning units. The house does not have central air. Also there is an option of a full size air mattress that can be put in the living room if you need to sleep a couple other people. *If you are just looking for 1 room, please see our other listings.
Well equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Washer and Dryer. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the home. Comfortably and stylishly decorated with lots of plants and art. We own a boutique in SE Portland and the style overflows into this lovely home.

Bring your furry friend- well behaved dogs are welcome! (Cats too). There is a mainly outdoor adult cat who lives here, he's lovey to new people and comfortably sets boundaries with any new creatures in the house.
*If you are interested in just a room, a small dog lives here too, otherwise the people and the dog live elsewhere if the whole house is rented out.

Large secure fenced backyard for your dog to run and play. Beautiful space during the fair weather months with plenty of room for croquet or soccer. Charcoal BBQ grill available for use and a fire pit. Eat indoors or out during fair weather months. There is a picnic table, several chairs and a chaise lounge to relax on. I do not water the grass ever, so in the dry months (August-September) the grass gets dry and brown but quickly turns back to green when the rain returns.

Easy walking distance to the Woodstock Village neighborhood. The village hosts a Sunday farmer's market from 10am- 2pm (June- Oct), has cute bars, a major grocery shop, cute coffee shops, good food and great sushi and some vintage shopping. Close to Reed College and the lovely Rhododendrun Garden in full bloom in May and June.

Easy walking distance to bus lines and plenty of parking with a private driveway.

No TV, but there is wireless internet access and magazines and books galore. Or sit on the couch and watch the rain from the picture window. But you're in Portland! and there is so much to see and do!

House is quiet in a sleepy neighborhood. Views of huge pine trees. Spacious green backyard. Very Portland!

Interaction with Guests

I really enjoy meeting my guests and giving them a quick tour, but with scheduling that doesn't always get to happen. Guests are welcome to contact me at any time during their stay and if I'm out of town, I always have someone in town that can take care of any emergencies.
I love give recommendations on Portland dining, shopping and bars.

The Neighborhood

Laid back neighborhood with everything you need that is just outside of the busy bustling Portland neighborhoods. Beautiful parks and hidden gems.

  • We loved our stay at Megan's place! Response time was quick for the reservation confirmation and we heard from her within 24 hours to introduce ourselves, confirm details, etc. The house itself was perfect for our needs.

    Pros:
    - Adorable house with a huge, fenced in back yard. Our dogs were in HEAVEN
    - Excellent kitchen
    - Comfy bedroom with air conditioner
    - Lots of games in the hall closet to play on the picnic table out back
    - Cute neighborhood very close to a huge park (includes a dog park)
    - Easy location, close to lots of excellent coffee, food trucks, restaurants and beer spots

    Cons:
No tv (this would probably be a pro for some people but my husband sleeps with a tv)

I would definitely recommend this spot! We (email hidden), the house was spotless and we felt very comfortable.

  • This home was perfect for our girls weekend and so affordable.

  • Erin and Megan's house is super cute! It's the perfect size for 4-5 people and not too far from downtown. Close to all ammenities too.
There was a mix up and one of the bedrooms wasn't ready for us, but Megan brought us an air mattress right away and a bottle of whisky so it all worked out in the end.
Great place guys, thanks and good luck in the future!

  • Beautiful home, somewhat removed from the main sights of Portland but easy to navigate by car. We brought our small dog and it was so relieving to have a clean, comfortable and welcoming place that all three of us could stay. Thanks!

  • Very nice place. Erin and Megan are very nice people who went out of their way to make it easy for us. The place was clean and nice. The worst we can say is that the doors stick. Pull down on the hook on the back of the bathroom door hard and it will open. Need to get those planed.

The kitchen was big and fully stocked. The wifi worked fine. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Beds a bit soft but roomy. Great laundry, great location. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • Nice stay beds were comfortable, quiet neighborhood close to downtown portland. They were even nice enough to get me a playpen for my baby. Yard was not as appealing as in picture.

  • First airbnb stay so difficult to quantify--that said here are our thoughts. We lived in PDX for 30 years so know the city backwards and forwards. This house is in a neighborhood that is transitioning toward gentrification. However there are few of the hip PDX draws anywhere near so be prepared to drive if you want Division, Belmont, Hawthorne and Alberta is a fair ways. Great Asian food is close however on 82nd. Reed College is also close and that (email hidden) for a stroll. While the house is pretty ordinary on the outside and surrounded by similar homes these women have done a great job on the inside to make the place fun, hip, inviting and comfortable. That they take dogs is a huge plus. The back yard is fine to hang although it is clearly a work in progress. Kitchen was well set up even though it was small and their rules were easy to work with. The bathroom is tiny but functions fine. The one issue we had was that the house orients south and there are no shade trees so the inside got quite warm (outside daytime temps were low 80's while we were there). One room (email hidden) but take their advice if it is warm and open the place up otherwise it can get too hot to sleep comfortably. So if the location isn't a problem this place is a steal of a deal.

  • We stayed with Erin and Megan while work was being done on our own home in Portland. The house was clean, comfortable and cute. The beds and shower were great and there was even AC in the main bedroom - a nice surprise on a hot evening ! With this location, you would do best with a car, but with a pet it is hard to beat ! I really appreciate the great communication and flexibility with our changing schedule. Thank you so much.

  • Megan was great throughout the entire process. Fast responses and very easy check in. The house was great and I'd recommend especially if you're traveling to Portland with a pet. Easy as could be. Thanks Megan!
