The space
This home features a living room with a brick accent wall showcasing the wood stove that is ideal for heating the living spaces of the house and opens up to a large loft space perfect for entertaining. Large skylight and floor to ceiling windows allow for plenty of natural light. Cozy up on the couch and enjoy a fire while playing a game, reading a book or listening to music on the record player. Records, books and games are provided. The record player includes Bluetooth for the modern convenience of playing music from your phone. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub after a day of skiing or hiking in the mountains.

From the living room, walk up the stairs to the dining room and kitchen that overlook the living room with two large bedrooms down the hall; walk down the stairs to access the lower bedroom and bathroom. A couch, TV, and games, can be found in the downstairs bedroom perfect for a movie night or games night.

Large bedrooms allow for plenty of space; each bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed, bedside tables with lamps, and large closets for suitcases or travel gear. The primary bedroom has its own vanity with sink; the second bedroom features a desk for those who need to do a little work at your home-away-from-home.

Our home was built in the early 80’s and has always reminded us of a ski chalet with the wood stove in the center of the house and its open floor plan. Throughout the years, much love has gone into remodeling most of the house, including landscaping. Many custom furniture pieces are uniquely placed throughout the house with repurposed materials, many of which have historical significance to the state of Montana. The kitchen table was repurposed from the MSU photo department; the coffee table was an old beam from a 1900’s building in Anaconda, MT; the pot rack comes from wood found while hiking up Sypes Canyon. The old Big Sky triple chair that brought skiers up the bowl once upon a time makes for a magical swing in the front yard. This home makes for a perfect winter getaway with its ideal location, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and hot tub. Get cozy next to the fire after a long day of outdoor activities that start right out the front door! We hope you enjoy the many features that make this home unique.
