Lauras apartment was perfect for me and my husbands 5 day stay in rome! The place was impeccable, clean and spacious. There was a small kitchenette and cutlery, as well as a washing machine! Laura was very helpful and kept in touch via email. She even gave us a print out of places to eat and even some books on rome. The apartment is also perfectly located, with plenty of bars and restaurants around, the metro is also a short walk down the street. Highly recommended!
Lauras place was perfect for our stay! It is within walking destination of major sites and very easy to get to the train station and metro. Place is very clean and exactly as pictured. Would definitely stay her again!
Laura is a very reliable , helpful and charming host. The apartment is centrally located and well maintained. Good food and restaurants nearby with reasonable price. Please note there is lift starting from 1st floor, so guests need to go up 1 flight of stairs. No big deal, unless you have 3 big luggage like us :-) All in all, a great place that we will book again.
Laura was so gracious in offering us the larger apartment in the same building for the same price. It was super cute and cozy, and check in with her housekeeper was a breeze. The neighborhood was awesome, everything you could ever need was found within a block radius. We had a rental car and parked it on Cavour street the whole time by paying the meter. Only 7 Euros a day, a steal compared to 35 in nearby garages. It's easy to find a spot late at night and once parked, we kept it there the whole time and used the bus/walked. An excellent base for a few days in Rome.
Laura seems to own a few apartments in the building, so she is often around which is handy for arrival and departure needs. She was very friendly and accommodated our last min booking.
The apartment is in Monti, which is a trendy area of Rome. Across the road from a big fountain where lots of young people hang out drinking most nights - great for social vibe, not so great for sleeping :) Keep the windows and shutters closed to try to keep the noise out.
The apartment is quite small, and not so great if you have lots of bags (as we did as it is at the end of our trip). The staircase is narrow and there are 4 flights (2 levels) of stairs to get up.
Its great that you can walk from the apartment to the coliseum and the forum, and get around mostly by foot. Arrive on Sunday to gain access to the front door by car (handy for unloading bags), otherwise only locals can drive and park on that road.
