Monti neighborhood is well connected with public transportation
Laura seems to own a few apartments in the building, so she is often around which is handy for arrival and departure needs. She was very friendly and accommodated our last min booking.
The apartment is in Monti, which is a trendy area of Rome. Across the road from a big fountain where lots of young people hang out drinking most nights - great for social vibe, not so great for sleeping :) Keep the windows and shutters closed to try to keep the noise out.
The apartment is quite small, and not so great if you have lots of bags (as we did as it is at the end of our trip). The staircase is narrow and there are 4 flights (2 levels) of stairs to get up.
Its great that you can walk from the apartment to the coliseum and the forum, and get around mostly by foot. Arrive on Sunday to gain access to the front door by car (handy for unloading bags), otherwise only locals can drive and park on that road.
Laura's place is just as pictured--nice and clean. Internet connection was good. Above all, it is in a convenient location, very close to the Coliseum and public transportation. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Laura!
Laura is the best! She is so easy to work with. For three of us (myself, my brother and his girlfriend) the apartment was a fine size. The location is the best in Rome, full of people (Romans) and not overwhelmed by tourists, even though it is so close to the Coliseum. Good restaurants, cafe's and vintage shops. I would recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a perfectly located, comfortable apartment in Rome.
Laura was a fantastic host and the studio was in an amazing location (we could see the Colosseum from our window)! I would definitely go back again.
Laura's appts is situated in the centre of Rome, near Coliseum. It is possible to get everywhere by feet, even with little baby. The flat is equiped with everything needed. It was a little noise from the street at night if windows ware opened. there are a lot of restorants, little shops and farmacy close to appts.
Laura is very nice, interesting and educated. We talked with great pleasure with her. She gave us a lot of useful advice.
We recommend appts to everyone, who want to taste the spirit of Rome.
Overall a nice place to stay with easy availability things in the (website hidden) part about this location is that its closer to Colosseum(star attraction of Rome) so you can go there as many times as you want!!!. Room is big enough for a small family. Laura made adequate arrangements for our late arrival@11:00pm. Would surely recommand.
Great location near the Cavour metro station with a view from the window of the Colosseum. Laura was very friendly and checked in with us over the course of the week to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. She was also willing to help us plan things to do/places to eat.
There were 3 of us for a few days, and it was a bit small, but honestly perfect for us price/location wise. We didn't spend much time in the apartment, plus there is a roof top terrace with tables/chairs if we wanted to spread out more.
We stayed 2 nights and it was great. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere. Even to the Vatican. There is a fruit and veggie stand, Barclay's bank, small grocer, tons of restaurants and the local piazza/fountain right outside your door. We found it quiet especially with the A/C running. Had great internet connection. We were happy to find maps and books on Rome and italy. We didn't use it but it did have a washing machine. We did not meet Laura but she had a friend meet us and that went smoothly. We would stay there again.
I enjoyed my stay at Laura's place. She was on holiday in California, but still managed to arrange a convinient place for me to pick up the keys. The location was great and the air conditioning worked well.
This place was great! You can see the Colliseum as soon as you step out of the building and everything you wanted to see in Rome was in walking distance. It was very clean and Laura and her housekeeper were so helpful. The space was a bit tight for 3, so it would be perfect for 2. Would highly recommend this place!
